It's Friday, you want something delicious and easy to cook but can't stretch to a takeaway. What are you having?

We're having super noodles with chopped up hot dogs.

Nothing beats a nasty Friday tea.

Salt and pepper squid, jackets, tenderstem broccoli and green beans. Nice and easy

Mmm I love squid.

I've had chilli cooking all day on a low heat and about to serve with rice, salad, cheese, guacamole, tortilla chips, salsa and sour cream! (All but the chilli is bought not made!)

We've got a big pot of spag bol simmering away which may or may not contain a fair bit of red wine in it.Will be served with pasta shells and cheesy garlic bread and will be too stuffed to move from the sofa all night afterwards.

I have got some white wine,a big bag of posh m&s beef Wellington crisps and then a ready made chicken tikka with poppadoms for later.Will enjoy when I watch the struggles on IACGMEOH

Veg and cashew nut stir fry with satay sauce plus noodles.
Dead easy and quick to make. That's my tea tonight when Dh gets in!

What are people doing tonight? We are having lamb kofta flatbreads with a Greek meze of falafel,hummus,tabbouleh,halloumi,Greek salad,lots of olives and white wine.

When we were kids,my dad used to get chicken drumsticks and crunch up a bag of crisps.He'd coat the chicken in the crisps and cook.We thought it was a great treat where it was really just a cheap meal.I often make this and my kids love it too.

Fajitas here really easy!

Yaaaay Friday! Tonight is beef burgers for my fiancé and SS and chicken burger for me. Homemade chips, onion rings, coleslaw, balsamic onions 😍

I made a few meals for the next couple of days but I forgot that a meal is included with an event that we are going to tonight and that DH is at an agricultural show out of the area tomorrow so won’t be home at meal times!

F&C tonight but actually going out for it.

Sweet and sour pork. Attempting pork in the air fryer. Usual sauce of ketchup soy and vinegar. Add some pineapple pieces too.

Chicken burritos here tonight made with refried beans and uncle beans Mexican rice. Plus some air fryer wedges

Made a big vat of chilli, mostly for the freezer but we're having a portion tonight with tortilla chips and copious amounts of grated cheese.

We have gone for a carpet picnic infront of the football with beer and wine in the fridge plus lots of nibbles and dips and crisps nom nom nom

We are having a kebab tonight! Lamb shish for me, lots of onion and salad, spicy sauce and very hot crispy fries. Preordered to come just as the football finishes! I’m not watching, I’m currently sat by the fire with the telly off - the boys in my house are in the kitchen watching the telly making a lot of noise though!

What a load of rubbish the football was hope everyone had better food than that pile of rubbish.

It's Strictly Saturday! So, prosecco,crisps,dips,cheeseboard,grapes,hummus,coleslaw,quiche,potato salad all infront of the tv with no talking😂

Ooh and a 'posh' trifle for pudding.

I know it's Saturday but Saturday used to be our takeaway night every single week around £30 a time 😱 but since the COL crisis we now only have on birthdays and holidays so tonight it's simply cook Vietnamese pork and pizzas for the dc. Managed to get everything including a bottle of wine and a pack of donuts for dessert for £16 so half the price and better for our wallets and our waistlines!

We haven't had a takeaway for at least 6 weeks.It just feels so extravagant and ultimately,disappointing.Tonight we are having French onion soup followed by steaks and salad.The COL crisis has at least forced us to cook more at home and when we have red meat,we look forward to it,and have good quality stuff from the local butcher.We really look forward to home cooked weekend meals now actually.
