We're having super noodles with chopped up hot dogs.

Nothing beats a nasty Friday tea.

It's Friday again!!🎉It will be burger night in our house later on with dirty fries, coleslaw, salad and loads of sauces.Love Fridays xxx

ThreeRingCircus · 13/01/2023 08:27

Well when I really CBA (like last night) it's cheese on toast, crisps and a piece of fruit.

Tonight I'm doing homemade salt and pepper chips like from the Chinese (sort of.) Oven cook chips and chicken nuggets.....when that's cooking fry lots of onion, chilli and peppers in sesame oil. Then when the nuggets and chips are done chuck them in the pan with the onions and peppers, add soy sauce and toss together.

Love this thread!

It's homemade turkey meatballs, spaghetti, garlic bread and salad here tonight.

Will prepare meatballs this morning then it's easy to cook later on

I would so love to have had MN when my kids were small! I love the ideas ( and solidarity) on here!
Today we're having omelettes which will contain some chopped bacon, chopped mushrooms and chopped red peppers.
Will rummage in salad drawer and see what is fresh enough for a bit of a side salad.
Choc ices for pudding :)

ODFOx · 13/01/2023 11:58

We did easy dinner last night: pizzas with naan bread base, harissa paste mixed with tomato purée, then topped with sausage, caramelised onion, mushrooms and spinach under mozzarella and cheddar.
Scrumptious!
Tonight DDs boyfriend is coming over so I'm doing Stilton stuffed mushrooms on toast to start, poached pears for pud, and they are making a pasta main course.
Yes we are still working through the Christmas Stilton wheel!! 😀

Ready made Polish pierogi stuffed with bacon and mushrooms with a bacon mushroom and cheese sauce (which I will make)

DrMarciaFieldstone · 13/01/2023 12:08

Truffle pesto pasta with a flat garlic bread with rosemary and red onion chutney put on top before it goes in the oven.

ScatteredMama82 · 13/01/2023 12:12

Packet of sweet chilli and lime microwave rice stir fried with chorizo and chopped up spring onions. Love it!

AlisonDonut · 13/01/2023 12:13

I've just made a quick pasta - chop onion, garlic and chilli and throw it in olive oil in a pan, and add a handful of frozen [home grown] red peppers. Whilst that is sauteeing, two large handfuls of pasta into boiling water, whilst that is cooking, add some tomato puree [home made and frozen from home grown tomatoes] some dried basil, some pepper and some cubed feta and tumble the drained pasta in until the feta just starts to melt and serve.

We tried pierogi for the first time yesterday after getting them in a Too Good To Go bag. They were delicious! Ours were mushroom and sauerkraut so we served them with paprika, soured cream and chives.

ODFOx · 20/01/2023 13:44

DH is making a quick curry with some cod cheeks from the bottom of the freezer. We have some veg side dishes already in the freezer.

LoobyDop · 20/01/2023 13:48

I picked up an M&S meal deal. Lamb shanks, dauphinois potatoes, green vegetable mix and a pudding. Was about £20, but that’s still about half what a takeaway would cost and only needs bunging in the oven.

Duckingella · 20/01/2023 13:53

Tesco do the most amazing packs of sourdough pizza bases (£1.50 for two bases) making simple homemade pizza;a tub of coleslaw, bag of seasoned wedges;job done.

Eightiesgirl · 20/01/2023 13:56

We are having a cheesecake delivered by a local lady who makes them. It's a small one and would normally do 4 people but we've decided to split it between the two of us and have it as our meal tonight. Naughty, I know, but I've been ill all over Christmas and eating a very bland diet since then. I've been craving something sweet but couldn't manage a main meal and dessert so just having the dessert!

Lndnmummy · 20/01/2023 14:03

M&S lasanga here and I'll make a greek salad to go with it.
