We're having super noodles with chopped up hot dogs.

Nothing beats a nasty Friday tea.

We have got one of those Thai meal boxes from M&S,will add a bit of extra jasmine rice from the cupboard plus some spring rolls and rice crackers and there will easily be more than enough for 3 of us.Really looking forward to it actually.

We've just had jacket potatoes with beans and cheese. Bit of a tense meal because DH was testing the 'foolproof' air fryer baked potato instructions and apparently it's not foolproof because we ended up with double the time, lots of extra runs through the microwave and a fair amount of muffled swearing from the kitchen when the "fucking potatoes are still fucking hard".

He's generally a very mild mannered man but a failing recipe can really wind him up.

I made a beef and vegetable stew in the slow cooker today and am just popping the dumplings in now.The house smells lovely and festive now.

Blancettyblanc · 26/11/2022 18:24

We are having spag bol with garlic bread, pasta shells and some yummy red wine.Oh and a tiramisu for later.

GettingStuffed · 26/11/2022 18:28

Last night I had a Tesco finest lasagne, and it was very nice. If I was at home we'd probably have home made fajitas or kedgeree or fish and chips with breaded fish and oven chips.

Teacoaster · 26/11/2022 18:38

An oven baked potato topped with Bachelor's cheese and broccoli pasta that has been made with a bit of butter and extra cheese.

It's so good, but so wrong.

Robotichypnotic · 27/11/2022 17:37

We are having chilli with nachos, sour cream and some rice.Simple, but really tasty and warming.

Crikeyalmighty · 27/11/2022 20:57

I have cut takeaways a lot in recent years- to be honest I think so many are really not that great and it's just as simple with 2 of us to buy £15 or so of really nice M&S or Waitrose fakeaway type things - and often better quality.

It's Friday again! 💓

Decafflatteplease · 02/12/2022 08:58

Quesadillas here tonight!

We have left over chilli so going to add in some sweetcorn then make quesadillas with it. Already have wraps open so a way to get things used up. chips in the air fryer to go with them, and sour cream and jalapenos etc.

Igglepiggleslittletoe · 02/12/2022 09:08

Have left over bolognaise sauce, rubyslaw and rolls and will add a cup of soup to it.

QueenLagertha · 02/12/2022 09:24

Homemade pizzas here tonight with air fryer wedges 🤤

Shearlingsway549 · 02/12/2022 09:28

Bacon pasta:

Fry a pack of bacon until nice and crispy, add in chopped garlic to taste and fry briefly. Pour in some white wine and let that boil off then add in a tin of tomatoes and cook until your pasta is ready then mix in the pasta and a load of parmesan cheese.

mamacattiva · 02/12/2022 10:17

Pinch of Nom (hate that name!) Singapore Nasi Goreng but I’m swapping out the chicken for prawns and the rice for egg noodles

As Friday is traditionally fish and chip day in our house,we will be having cod, chips and mushy peas. The prices in the chip shops are getting so expensive though,so we have home cooked fish and chips at least 3 weeks from 4.So oven breaded cod, chips, mushy peas plus lots of bread and butter and some packet curry sauce.Friday night fish and chips,2022 COL style😂

Lillivanilli · 02/12/2022 18:50

Blancettyblanc · 02/12/2022 19:05

We are having a slow cooker chicken curry with potatoes plus spinach.Lovely, and costs a fraction of a takeaway these days.

How does this fit into the "easy to cook" category?

Well of course. So do all the major supermarkets. But the person who posted that dinner hasn't said it's a ready meal?

Toadymalone · 02/12/2022 20:59

We had pizzas with sides and salad.Easy, relatively cheap and still felt like a treat.
