I grow outdoor bonsai trees, and many's the time I come across a spider (or three) when I'm doing some pruning. Some of them get quite miffed with me for interfering with their home, but I love seeing them, and their presence shows that the trees have a healthy ecosystem. My favourites are the ones with sticky-out-sideways legs like cats' whiskers. not an expert as you can tell

They're really cute, for spiders! I have that internal arrrghh reaction that I get with anything that's got more than 4 legs but they're sweet. Cool names! Hope you get the Asda skeleton!

Wow I hate spiders but these are adorable! How big are they? I am trying to judge from pics where I can see fingers but it's hard to really understand.

She's a hyllus giganteus jumping spider. Her kind are also known as eyelash spiders for obvious reasons

This is my largest spider. I have quite small hands.

They are really cute, unfortunately 3 of my 4 sons are scared of them

The 4th thought he might be but found one in the house last week and brought it into my room to show me so think he's over it !

My kids are scared of spiders too. Especially my 17yo.

Ok, I am also scared of spiders but those are cute. They aren’t cute enough for me to want to hold them or be in the same room as them, but they haven’t made me instantly shut down Mumsnet either 😂

I wish they could talk. I wish they could just say 'it's cool - I'm just going to hang out in the corner' or 'I'm just going to run over here and live in this pile of stuff for a bit' or 'I ate FIVE bluebottles today!'. Then I'd be able to come to a fear-free understanding with them.

@Spoodee Completely irrelevant, but I have a massive, crippling fear of spiders. I can't even look at a photo of one. But what is that adorable fuzzy furriness?! I might like that! I wish all spiders looked like that.
