Nearly the end of October - is your heating on yet?

Usually we'd have had it on well before now but we're holding out. We're up in the North East so it does get chilly but it's not too bad yet

We do have a log burner - probably had it on 2 or 3 times a week so far this month

Upstairs is getting nippy though and I could do with a thicker quilt. We only have a 4.5 tog as dh is like a hot water bottle!

Yes, thermostat controlled to 19 degrees. It's been on quite a bit! Seems to be keeping the gas usage at a sensible level.

15 degrees here today, 14 tomorrow. I think altitude makes a difference. We are only 550 feet up but it is always one degree cooler here thanin the village at the bottom of the hill.
