Two nurses shot and killed on a maternity ward in Texas. Just doing their job. RIP ladies.
The murderer was a man beating up his partner who was in labour. 1st nurse went to help his labouring partner. 2nd nurse heard the shot and went to help.

I can’t even. Imagine going into work to bring new life into the world, and having your own life extinguished for it so needlessly. RIP

Why the hell should I give up my guns because of this evil man?

But it's not just one man is it?
It's several (mainly) men and several guns.
Almost (If not every) day someone in the us kills another person with a gun.
There are dozens of 'mass' murders annually.
But yes, guns are fine for the 'good' people

No one will ever convince me that it should be normal for the average household to have guns at home or carry them as a matter of course. Nothing.

Not to mention very rarely do you ever see an example of a so called good person being able to stop a shooter and defend themselves/others.

This story is tragic.

I don’t have a gun, never had one, never needed one. Why do you need one (but I suspect you are in the US). Do you never wonder why other countries don’t have their citizens carrying or owning guns? It’s NOT normal!

As an aside, I remember having to come off MN for a couple of weeks around 8 years ago when I spoke up against men staying over night in maternity wards.

Those midwives had the right to do their jobs without getting shot.

Yes, thank goodness that abusive man was there to shoot those nurses who were helping his labouring partner.
