For me, nothing yesterday and today a taxi into town in the rain £8, and a dumpling lunch for me and dd £25.
Dd bought me two face masks for £1.60.

Pondering spending some birthday money online this evening on art materials.

A large, ripe today avocado from Tesco and some olive bread. DH was away so I had poached eggs and avocado on toast as a treat. Can't remember what I spent but under £5.
It's end of the month nearly and funds are low but it felt like a lovely little treat.

Purplecatshopaholic · 23/10/2022 19:04

Sainsbos on Friday, think it was about £70 - mostly dog and cat food! Some cleaning products from Amazon at the weekend - new doggie is currently getting toilet trained! A real rock’n’roll weekend for me, clearly!

deplorabelle · 23/10/2022 19:06

Nothing this weekend except the weekly grocery shop (nothing just for me except arguably nuts nobody else eats £1.69).

On Friday dh was giving blood and I went with him to keep him company. Six quid on bus fare, two pounds for a cup of tea as we got there early (DH had cake with his as he was donating. I brought snacks with us as we are on an economy drive)

@bigbluebus
2 bunches of flowers for DDs grave. She would have been 28 today.

So very sorry, that’s heartbreaking xx

Lots love to you.

notacooldad · 23/10/2022 19:09

Nothing but Dh treated me to a packet of Strepsils and a whisky all in!!

Tickledpickled · 23/10/2022 19:15

A ridiculous amount. £1500 in ikea on bedroom furniture for the dc, £350 on a shark vacuum, £300 on a shark hairdryer, £14 in McDonald’s, £19 in an indoor trampolining centre and £40 in sainsburys. This is far from typical though. Our bedroom furniture, vacuum and hairdryer have last us for over 9 yrs but all fallen apart at the same time!

OakTreex · 23/10/2022 19:18

New welly boots for DC, a cheap slow cooker from Asda in the hope of saving some money on gas, a marked down jumper for me from the supermarket, a few bits of food shopping.

countdowntonap · 23/10/2022 19:19

Nothing

Did lots of housework and washing yesterday, so was at home.
Went for a walk on the beach today between bouts of rain.

Donepaying · 23/10/2022 19:21

Is this another journalist post ?

Asks a question about typical weekend personal spending and then doesn't come back . Ffs

CaronPoivre · 23/10/2022 19:26

Too much, but just left on a holiday. Toiletries, underwear, makeup bits and bobs, evening shoes and clutch bag for a 'black and white' dress code, luggage straps.

NoDairyNoProblem · 23/10/2022 19:27

Friday night- £67
Thai take away for DH and I plus teen DC and two of their friends.

Saturday- £64
Jumper in Zara for me
coffee for DH and I
6 pairs of sock for DH

Sunday- £125
Pumpkin picking
Take away hot chocolate and marshmallows to toast for the DC

🫣 it really adds up quickly.

OnceRuralNowUrbanbliss · 23/10/2022 19:34

A leaf blower/vacuum and shredder £78

Some new autumn clothes and pjays for Primark £40

A cardie in a charity shop £4

Pilates class £8

Vampirethriller · 23/10/2022 19:50

Bread, milk, digestive biscuits, 2 metres of curtain track, 2 metres net curtain wire, a silk sleep bonnet.

ImAvingOops · 23/10/2022 19:55

Food for the house, DIY stuff and cleaning materials are not personal spends!

I bought hot chocolate and a cake in a cafe with dh and some Reece's chocolate bars with pretzels in. And some new fairy lights.About £25 in total.

I have spent quite a bit of money this weekend but on supermarket shops, new bedding and decorating materials for the spare bedroom, so I'm not counting those as personal.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 23/10/2022 20:06

Too much.

Some stuff for my garage gym, some running trainers and an iPhone for DSS birthday - not brand new, reconditioned one.

AceofPentacles · 23/10/2022 20:09

Replacement skin care and make up
2 t shirts and 4 pairs socks

Pearbear · 23/10/2022 20:12

£70 of petrol for the car and that’s been it. A very cheap weekend visiting my friend and godson yesterday and my parents today.

ChiefWiggumsBoy · 23/10/2022 20:13

We went out for a birthday treat for my youngest, spent £45 for cinema tickets and £65 on a very mediocre lunch. Folks, Slim Chickens is extremely overpriced - get KFC if you want chicken.

Another £19 on car park and about £8 on coffees.

Iwantamarshmallowman · 23/10/2022 20:32

Too much this weekend.
An eye test and 2 pairs of prescription glasses from spec savers (to be fair I am struggeling to drive with my old pair) A primark primer and a dress from Tu. I have food intolerances so we popped into asda for dinner on the way home and I brought some other gluten and dairy free bits as they are hard to find. dh also brought me 2 coffees and some chocolate.

StarCourt · 23/10/2022 20:55

Milkshake and cake for DD after her therapy session. New combats, top and necklace also for DD.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 23/10/2022 21:50

It’s the end of the month, so used my Nero points for a free cuppa and bought a piece of cake to go with.

Next weekend I have plans to go for dinner.

mindutopia · 23/10/2022 21:57

Well, I bought wine and canestan. 🙈

speakout · 23/10/2022 22:03

Shampoo and conditioner from Aldi, 89p each.
Two yoga classes- but they are part of my monthly membership- Unlimited classes for £24 a month- I usually have 5 classes a week.
Wow- just found out that means each class is costing the equivalent of £1.20- fab!

Racingadmin · 23/10/2022 22:05

£30 on Chinese takeaway for 3 ( also did a brunch leftover meal for dd ) .

Petrol (£76) on way home from work but got £40 petrol expenses so not too bad.
