For me, nothing yesterday and today a taxi into town in the rain £8, and a dumpling lunch for me and dd £25.
Dd bought me two face masks for £1.60.

Pondering spending some birthday money online this evening on art materials.

After lots of dithering invested £13 in a Tangle Teezer hairbrush and am thrilled with it.
It is a bit scratchy but it goes through my knotty hair without ripping chunks out at the root.
*brushy, brushy 😍

Not this weekend, but I bought a lipstick on Thursday. Having spend loads of money over the years on lots of different lipstick for different times/outfits etc I have found one that really suits me. And it’s from Chanel 🤦‍♀️ Got £5 off by recycling skincare bottles in John Lewis, so £30 spent.

£200 on next years summer holidays flights to Jersey whilst DS is away with school rugby trip - bit of a bargain as that's in peak holiday season.£40 on a clothes airer as we're just back from holiday with a tsunami of washing and tumble drier uses up so much electricity.

Not much this weekend which is unusual! Bought us a sandwich from our fave deli. yesterday - home delivery - and a bar of choc! Been a nice weekend though. Saw my stster and mum yesterday, my mum came here for a coffee and spend time with dh and ds. Lovely chilled weekend and for once, quite a cheap one!

tapdancingmum · 23/10/2022 16:12

New garden furniture. Been looking at it for a while but went to the garden centre and it's half price. Bargain, and it's being delivered tomorrow. Just need to get rid of the old stuff.

Last weekend we bought a new toaster and bin for the kitchen 😀

YorkieTheRabbit · 23/10/2022 16:14

£38 having my haircut and bought Good Housekeeping magazine which was £6.99 😱and I only got it because I thought it was the normal Christmas one but it’s the Christmas collection which is just recipes

AutumnCrow · 23/10/2022 16:14

Imported cheese.

Sorry, Liz

Charlize43 · 23/10/2022 16:14

I bought 3 bottles of Rachmaninoff Triple Distilled Vodka (I know, that name, right?) from Lidls which I then decanted into my empty Smirnoff Blue bottles.

The cost of living crisis is really biting.

Echobelly · 23/10/2022 16:15

I had some time to kill in town, bought some green tea, croissant and fresh fruit juice a bit later; and got a solid body lotion bar at a market, as I'm about to finish my Lush one and am trying to buy less stuff in packaging. Bought Nandos for lunch with my 14yo.

Trying not to spend much this week as I have splurged loads in the last fortnight and can't keep spending at that rate before I get paid again. Newish job and I'm still not 100% sure when payday is but I think it will be Friday - I hope so, as will be staying out of town for the night, so it will be an expensive weekend.

ParkheadParadise · 23/10/2022 16:16

I bought a Celtic Park Canvas for my brothers birthday - £100
Flowerbomb perfume as a treat to myself - £70

mondaytosunday · 23/10/2022 16:18

I ordered a couple jigsaw puzzles and a notebook online for Xmas presents. £56. Yesterday my daughter and I went out for a latte and croissant and hot chocolate and cinnamon roll.

OrangePumpkinLobelia · 23/10/2022 16:19

I bought myself a beer when out shopping yesterday. I sat and read the local paper and had a beer and went home half an hour later than expected.

i think that is it but i am currently saving pennies for a forthcoming holiday which i chose!

Spanielsarepainless · 23/10/2022 16:19

A new training lead.
The new Yorkshire vet book.
A plastic box with sections, to keep earrings in.
About to win an eBay auction for a nice jersey (I hope!).

HuntingoftheSnark · 23/10/2022 16:19

Nothing apart from food for the week and a £8.99 cat tea towel in advance of DD's birthday next month. I'll be paid next Friday and will do my monthly cash flow, figuring out savings compared with budget so I'm always a bit competitive with myself during the last weekend before payday 😀.

Oh I hate it when I buy a lifestyle magazine (now a complete luxury) and it is the wrong one!

Cottagecheeseisnotcheese · 23/10/2022 16:20

white dress and wings for DD for hallowe'en but dress can be used for parties etc afterwards £29

bigbluebus · 23/10/2022 16:22

2 bunches of flowers for DDs grave. She would have been 28 today.

lannistunut · 23/10/2022 16:22

I bought DS a book and myself a scarf in the charity shop yesterday, £4. Nothing today.

User17956743 · 23/10/2022 16:23

Went to caravan and motorhome show so could have spent loads. Just had a wish list though and got coffees and cake instead. Lots of people spending lots of money though on motor homes by the look of it

Nw22 · 23/10/2022 16:25

Lunch on Friday £40
some socks £20
Sunday lunch today £45
some Indian sides from the Indian deli £15

weegiemum · 23/10/2022 16:26

Nothing. I'm up to the eyeballs in a horrible cold and don't feel like doing anything much.

Later on though I am going to buy this diary boxcleverpress.com/products/family-life-book-diary. I've had one for the last 6 years after trying to keep organised with online diaries and wall calendars. It's just perfect for me and I don't want to risk it going out of stock!

Went a bit mad buying wooden kids toys in Lidl and Aldi, a lot of them are age 3+ and my son is only 1 so they won't get used for ages but they were so beautiful I couldn't resist.

I saw them yesterday..really lovely toys !

Went to IKEA and bought some bits and bobs, plus lunch there and petrol. Also ordered some stocking filler bits for kids.
