For me, nothing yesterday and today a taxi into town in the rain £8, and a dumpling lunch for me and dd £25.
Dd bought me two face masks for £1.60.

Pondering spending some birthday money online this evening on art materials.

A dangly Yankee Candle air freshener for my car, reduced to 70p. Smells quite nice, it's called Water Garden.

Glamourgal1989 · 23/10/2022 18:07

This week I went a bit mad, bought some white company candles, some new sweatshirt, 1 pair of jeans, some new knickers. I don’t usually spend on myself but I wanted/needed new bits !

Willbe2under2 · 23/10/2022 18:10

I needed to get a few things for dd on amazon so made it up to the £20 for free delivery by buying myself some liquorice chocolate 🍫 😋

autumnboys · 23/10/2022 18:12

probably the funniest thing was £3.60 on ready to eat mango which I then delivered to a very hungover DS1 at work, at his request.

lljkk · 23/10/2022 18:16

2 large oranges: £1.40, some rye bread, cucumber & cream cheese (£4?) I am only one in household who will eat all that.

Massively spendy weekend…caveat not bought anything in ages!

  • To refresh work wardrobe three cardigans in Uniqlo and some cos trousers…struggling to get back into the swing of work wear post pandemic
  • Some ridiculous bargains/utter tat depending on how you look at it in Anthropologie sale - sunglasses and summer skirt for an upcoming trip and a very kitsch vase, purpose of order was a couple of presents (both my sisters’ birthdays imminent)
  • Went to get one big terracotta pot for some tree lily bulbs we got at a show this summer and somehow came out with 5 pots
  • From Sarah raven sale some bargain agapanthus and geum and some wood anemone bulbs, plus the actual purpose of ordering was a present for someone else
  • a coffee from starbucks
  • waiting for a Waitrose delivery now but it’s groceries not personal spends
Galliano · 23/10/2022 18:24

Plus bought Marian Keyes Again, Rachel in kindle daily deal for £1.99 - feel less guilty about reading it at such a bargain price!

LadyWithLapdog · 23/10/2022 18:30

@bigbluebus 💐I’m sorry about your daughter

mrsharrisgoestoparis · 23/10/2022 18:33

bigbluebus · 23/10/2022 16:22

2 bunches of flowers for DDs grave. She would have been 28 today.

Flowers Here is some for you xx

Cakeit · 23/10/2022 18:34

a new lotion for my very itchy legs

Shitfather · 23/10/2022 18:35

Dior mascara - 25
Very high end and utterly gorgeous yoga gear at bargain bucket prices (eg leggings that can be bought for 170 on the designer’s website were in another for 35; 100 quid sports bra for 25). I never pay full price for anything and will always hunt down a bargain.

Worriedddd · 23/10/2022 18:36

Food shop which came up to £97 , pads from Amazon which cost £14 for 48 for this disgusting discharge I have from cold coagulation.

icebearforpresident · 23/10/2022 18:38

About £2.50 on a coffee and some crisps yesterday to get me through the kids swimming lessons. Today it was some antiseptic cream & wound dressing pads, about £4 in Savers - I had an ingrown hair on my bikini line to deal with (and it was totally gross for all you weirdos that like that sort of things).

janedani · 23/10/2022 18:39

£5 to pay to park for a walk in the Peak District yesterday. £1.60ish today for mushrooms and carrots i forgot to buy in the week to make tonight's beef and prune stew. Tried to spend more on a new ceiling light for playroom but couldn't find what I wanted in b&q or dunelm and tried to buy a new food mixer but if I wait for tomorrow my brother can get me a 10% off code and I think its worth the wait on a £200 purchase.

newtb · 23/10/2022 18:40

Nothing

FirstTimeMum072022 · 23/10/2022 18:43

I love posts like this - -
We've been a little spendy on takeaways this weekend as we're not feeling great, we took our kiddo to the pumpkin patch and had a costa coffee.
Ordered a possible Christmas outfit for the kiddo for £17 from Boden. Also randomly a possible easter outfit from Boden for £12 it has bunnies on it! Nothing for me individually.

Swissnotswiss · 23/10/2022 18:45

Just some mince to make lasagne!

Zib · 23/10/2022 18:46

Did the supermarket shop.

And then £1.80 on a cup of red bush tea for me.

Eileen101 · 23/10/2022 18:49

@bigbluebus Flowers for you

£70 or so on bits for our caravan - technically luxuries as we could have made do but....
£2.80 on snacks for me and the kids whole we waited for DS to finish ballet.
£8 on fleece lined jumpers for DD, from vinted though so a bargain really.
£7 Christmas gift for my sister.
Spotted some nice wooden toys for my DC so may still splurge on those for Christmas - £50 there or thereabouts.

HariboReckoning · 23/10/2022 18:53

£1.20 on skimmed milk yesterday. £12 on bets last night (won £11 back). Nothing today.

Woolandwonder · 23/10/2022 18:54

£18 for 2 pillows from Argos.
Other than that about £50 on food from supermarket. Nothing very exciting!

TheHound86 · 23/10/2022 18:59

Some Cadbury’s vegan chocolate and some chocolate biscuits today while food shopping. £4.

I did have a great delivery from Lucy & Yak arrive yesterday. 2 jackets and a hat.

Whistlesandbell · 23/10/2022 19:00

Wazzzzzuuuuuuup · 23/10/2022 19:01

Pizza and drinks for me, Dh and one dc yesterday, £65. Parking £3. A box of macarons from a pattiserie £9. I used a voucher to buy a notebook, some pens and a succulent for my desk at work.

Nothing.
Went out for lunch yesterday but brother in law paid.
