DH and DC not come home. He was picking them up from after school club. Should have been back an hour ago. His phone is going straight to voicemail. I’m an anxious person anyway, but when would you panic?

OP posts:
MadeForThis · 14/10/2022 19:00

Has he done this before? Could he have went shopping. Phone battery died?

Trudij123 · 14/10/2022 19:01

Hope they are home soon OP, I’d be worried too.

Badger1970 · 14/10/2022 19:01

The Police are very helpful if you are concerned for his mental wellbeing, OP.

They can put an alert out for his car registration.

Mummapenguin20 · 14/10/2022 19:03

I’d call the police

Minfilia · 14/10/2022 19:04

I hope he’s just scatty like my DH. He’s an hour or more late more often than he’s on time! In fact today he went AWOL for two hours because he got distracted by an activity with DS.

Im just used to it now!

ColourMeExhausted · 14/10/2022 19:07

This is worrying, I agree OP. Really hope they are home by now.

Bollindger · 14/10/2022 19:07

Hope you forgot an event or something

ImWithMuriel · 14/10/2022 19:08

Hopefully all is OK, OP. Hope your DH is back now and it's a simple explanation.

LIC1985 · 14/10/2022 19:09

Hopefully he's home now and all is well?

Retsina24 · 14/10/2022 19:11

Hope you've had word or they are home now OP. Hope they are OK and just got waylaid x

KendrickLamaze · 14/10/2022 19:13

Who would not hear their phone? Surely it's connected to the car and rings on stereo? Not many people don't have hands free now.

Sounds like something has happened as no update from OP. Thinking of you. Hope everyone is ok Flowers

justasking111 · 14/10/2022 19:13

Men are thoughtless he's probably taken out for a treat

nodtik · 14/10/2022 19:16

Hope you've got them home now xx

Blueberrycreampie · 14/10/2022 19:18

I never connect my phone to the car, I know I'm not going to make a call and rarely get any and I certainly wouldn't for an 8 minute journey

Is that not normal?

My phone goes into DND mode when I'm driving and I still haven't bothered linking it up to my hands free so wouldn't even ring.

LittleBear21 · 14/10/2022 19:22

Hope everyone is ok OP. Have said a little prayer for you all.

I can't connect my phone to my car.

Hellenski · 14/10/2022 19:25

Hope all is well

Meltingsocks · 14/10/2022 19:27

Could they have popped to park or supermarket?

ThirtyThreeTrees · 14/10/2022 19:28

I hope all is ok.

If you have a serious mental health concern, call the police now if you haven't do so already.

Have you a friend or anyone who could check the route for you?

9 times out of ten it will be ok and just a traffic or car breakdown issue. I understand why you are worried and hope you get a positive outcome soon.

BigFatLiar · 14/10/2022 19:28

We don't, mobile phones are to us new fangled tech. I still have to remind OH to take his when he goes out without me.

7eleven · 14/10/2022 19:29

Hand hold OP

KendrickLamaze · 14/10/2022 19:29

@girlmom21 how does it know you're driving if you haven't linked it?

@AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair it automatically connects when you step in as long as car is on and Bluetooth is activated. I connected it once and haven't thought about it since. My music plays from my phone connection too which is more important.

KendrickLamaze · 14/10/2022 19:31

@AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair who is to say what's normal. I'm sure Mumsnet will tell me it's me that's not and I will be shocked!
