DC is getting married, so lots of wedding and family stuff. So excited. Can't wait!

Not a lot. Kids have a couple of birthday parties to go to, we'll carve some pumpkins, don't know what else. Have a quiet ish week I think.

If dh pulls his finger out he and I are going to NYC and Boston. He's just decided to go so I'm leaving him to sort it. He has 3 days then i can no longer cancel trip to the lake district i booked at the end of summer.

DD13 has 2 weeks off but I could only book holiday for half of the first week & DH will be working full time as usual. DD is going to a gaming day where they can make their own game then her photography session in the evening. Hoping to meet up with friends as we still haven’t met her baby who was born in August last year. The 2nd week I have a dentist appointment & will have my flu jab & Covid vaccination. Exciting! Not doing a lot for Halloween or Bonfire Night.

Think it’s better to have 2 weeks in October, for one less week in summer,

Just one week here and it's nearly over 😥. Back on Tuesday.

We have pottered about, little day trips here and there, meals out or takeaways, caught up with family, been for a swim at our local spa hotel, I had a massage, got my hair done, dinner and cinema trip one evening just me and dh which was lovely. It's been great actually to not be manically running around and lots of these things were with vouchers we had so not spent a lot.

Would have been nice to get away even for a few days but we're doing renovations at the moment that seem to eat money. We kind of just followed our noses most days with no real plans which was good. I feel rested.

I'm kind of envious of those that still have there's to come. It will be a long term til Christmas now.

We still have 2 weeks to go until half term then don’t break up for Christmas until 23rd December 😲

Just checked and we finish up on the 22nd too. So first day the 23rd. I have to admit I quite like a later finish for the school before Christmas. I'd rather have the time after Christmas. But I can say that as I'm not a teacher and I finish my work earlier. Must be a nightmare if you are a teacher to get organised.

Are you in Wales? We are the same - the first ‘official’ day of the Christmas holidays is Boxing Day!

I saw that FatFace are hosting a free activity afternoon live on their instagram channel on the 26th of October which I'll be doing with my kids!

We had plans to go away but may not happen now as DH has an injury and is on crutches.

Need to rethink.

Will take some time off work anyway.

We are off to Cockermouth for a few days...using it as a base .Heading to Barnard castle and Carlisle.
