How many people have you spoken to today?

I haven't spoken to a single soul and am not likely to tomorrow either, it feels weird to not have spoken to a single person in 24 hours.

OP posts:

20 today. It's been a busy day with lots of different groups.

Moonatics · 10/10/2022 09:30

Sadly it's now Monday, I get to interact with roughly 600 people, the radio constantly on and whatever issues were thrown up over the weekend are now mine to resolve therefore speaking to even more people.

This is not the job for me, I must try find something else, preferably on a remote island that pays triple what I earn now.

mamabear715 · 10/10/2022 09:42

One, from a fecking call centre.
Why do these things still exist? Don't they piss everyone off?
Enjoying a peaceful morning until then.

Humansituation · 29/03/2023 16:14

This is an old thread op but wondering how you're doing? I'm so sorry for your loss. Fostering is such a lovely thing to do. Everything seems so trite to say following your loss but are you able to weave a bit of volunteering into a few days when children are at school (presuming they are school age)?

Not in your situation currently but I'm realising I am in a potentially isolating position so I am also needing to look at more interaction.

FooFighter99 · 29/03/2023 16:15

Too many is it home time yet?

Rowthe · 29/03/2023 16:18

I work in a people facing role.

So speak to lots. And obviously spoke to people in the office at home.
Spoke to doctors on phone to book appt for kid who is ill again!

Rang school to say kid wont be in.

Sister messaged me.

I messaged a different sister.

Its fewer people I speak to on the weekend. But loads today cos I've been at work.

MaidOfSteel · 29/03/2023 16:18

Just my husband. Same as most days.

Rowthe · 29/03/2023 16:19

I mean I spoke to the people in the office as well.

And some new starters at the work place who introduced themselves to me etc

pussycatinfluffyslippers · 29/03/2023 16:21

Since Friday, One - DH.

Or 3 if you include the cats - and yes, they do answer back.😺

DinosApple · 29/03/2023 16:45

About 25-40. I'm a teaching assistant and midday supervisor so about 3/4 children and the rest adults.

User639762456 · 29/03/2023 16:47

None

JamSandle · 29/03/2023 16:48

Two in person (working from home).

Stoechas · 29/03/2023 16:50

Probably getting on for 50, maybe more. God only knows. I spend all day talking to people. Multiple colleagues, patients and relatives.

Can’t wait to get home and not talk to my silent dog.

DaisyWaldron · 29/03/2023 16:56

Today, 3.
Yesterday, probably around 700. Maybe more.

A580Hojas · 29/03/2023 16:59

Two. My son and a woman in the call centre at First Direct. Oh and the lady who confirmed I look visibly over 25 at the self service till in M&S and the security guard in M&S who opened the door for me even though it says "automatic door". We had a little laugh about that.

Navigatingnewwaters · 29/03/2023 17:01

40-50

MajorCarolDanvers · 29/03/2023 17:02
