In defence of Rodney trotter, he's not objectively bad looking and is genuinely an actually decent person. He obviously loves his brother and looks out for him. He adores his woman and goes out of his way to try and make her happy. When he fucks up he owns it, listens to sound advice is surprisingly wise. On the other hand he also knows his own mind.

It might be a bit of a low bar for that to be considered attractive but there are unfortunately few men who are genuinely like that irl. But he could be the bloke at at the checkout. I think that's what makes him attractive.
