I like him, I think he gives great advice, especially during lockdown, he was a lifeline for a lot of people giving advice on furlough, benefit claims, mortgage breaks etc.
He gives a lot of money away to charity.
He helped thousands of people claim back on the PPI claims etc.
He gives away free books on educating teenagers on finances and is campaigning to get all schools to have to teach managing finances to pupils which is a great idea as teenagers need to know that debt is a bad thing and to discourage them from buying a lifestyle that they can't afford on credit cards etc, but learn that they need to budget their money and live accordingly.
I think he is genuine about what he does. Who cares if he makes money out of a link if I have saved £100 by switching banks? All I care about is the £100 I am going to get (hypothetical).
He is faithful to his religion, he seems genuine and trustworthy, a decent family man and genuine with his want to help people through the various crisis that have hit us the past few years.
I have followed him since he started out in 2003. He sold the business some years later, but remained on as Chairman. I think he is genuinely devoted to helping people, yes he makes money out of it, but he saves other people a lot of money.
I sound like some sort of evangelical fan
grin], but I do like him and what he does
