Human remains, believed to be part of a child’s skull have been found on Saddleworth Moor. Please god let this be Keith Bennett. That poor child can hopefully finally be laid to rest in eternal peace with his mother.

Regarding wishes after death, there's a huge difference between carrying out the wishes in a will and potentially withholding evidence of where the body of a murder victim is buried. In the latter case I believe anything is fair game, no matter what the thankfully dead murderer wants. The judge in this case was a disgrace.

What evidence is that Brady left any information about where Keith Bennet was buried? It's a virtual certainty that he didn't.

If you read my post I said potentially withholding evidence. I know it's highly unlikely but if it was my family member I would want to know one way or another.

Apparently Brady told Alan Bennett via letters that he had left AB some information for when he (IB) died.
The solicitor met with police, went through papers he had access to and told them there was nothing relevant to possible burial sites. He did not have access to the briefcases and was going to get a locksmith to open them - he has not since been in contact.
From my recent googling

The idea that someone can’t share important information because it’s locked in a briefcase and they don’t have the key is utterly pathetic.
Of course they can be opened.
If that was genuinely used that as an excuse - here’s a handy tip - Break the lock

FFS. The only thing I can think of is that the briefcases contain horrific pictures/ recordings similar to those already found and they are holding them back to avoid inflicting unbelievable distress on the family.

OneFrenchEgg · 09/10/2022 17:25

Yes I suspect stalling from the solicitor and possibly some weird restrictions as Brady was a client.
Surely a judge could see that returning a body / allowing a lawful burial / something! Would warrant a court order.

OneFrenchEgg · 09/10/2022 17:28

I don't think he could have pictures or recordings because the briefcases were in prison with him. They'd have been searched if he took them in, and any new items brought to him subject to prison rules.

Good point. @OneFrenchEgg

I just looked to see if there was an update

Something is off about all of it. Did he want publicity? I agree with pp saying no publisher should work with him but with his horrible tweets, he has probably attracted more fans and will just self publish anyway.

Omg just watched the documentary on C4 about the Moors Murders. Poor Winnie 😢I didn't know that her 7-year-old sister burned to death when Winnie was 10 because her dress caught fire on the family's living room fire place and then Winnie's grandson was also murdered at the age of 22! Apparently, he was a well-known gangster boss in Manchester. That poor poor woman! How much can one person bear
