Do your kids wear a fresh pair of pyjamas/sleep clothes everyday?

My daughters pyjamas are a long sleeve T-shirt and some loose leggings as she gets really hot. They're thinner than actual pyjamas. Do you change your kids pyjamas everyday? If they got toothpaste on it?

no. I don't worry about toothpaste at all. We tend to change them around every 4 days.

AriettyHomily · 28/09/2022 09:34

No.

Youcancallmeirrelevant · 28/09/2022 09:34

No, change once a week, same time as bedding usually. Why create more washing than necessary

No, about once or twice a week.

PuttingDownRoots · 28/09/2022 09:35

Toothpaste.. no. It was often breakfast for mine, so they were changed.

Now they are older... I sometimes have to fight for the favored pair to wash them. (Yet they will put day clothes in the wash after wearing for an hour...)

EdHelpPls · 28/09/2022 09:39

Fresh PJ's on after a bath/shower, so every other night. I'd spot clean if anything spilt on them after one night. (Also two days for day clothes and vests, but pants and socks changed daily. )

PhantomErik · 28/09/2022 09:39

Depends if they wear underwear, one of my DC does so that nightwear lasts a couple of days, one doesn't so that only gets worn once.

I'm not bothered about toothpaste, I'll sponge it off but I wouldn't machine wash just for that.

TiggeryBear · 28/09/2022 09:46

2-3 nights here for my 2DC. Unless they get choc spread on (Currently they are favouring choc spread on toast for breakfast) then they go in the wash. Might be fresh pjs everyday in the summer as they get sweaty, but typically easier to dry, so less of an issue.

mogtheexcellent · 28/09/2022 09:48

No. DD usually wears for a few days. She doent wear pjs though, she wears nighties so less foof contact than pjs (unless they sleep in pants and PJs which would be super hot and uncomfortable).

We have some pjs for really cold nights but finding ones that are not tight on the legs can be a nightmare. I bought brushed cotton tartan bottoms last year on ebay for a fiver and paired them with a loose t shirt.

Misandre · 28/09/2022 09:58

no, they do about 3 days unless they get dirty. DS does more if he can get away with it. They shower before bed still.

With toothpaste I'd leave it or sponge it if it'll dry quickly. I don't like them going to bed with it wet.

LBFseBrom · 29/11/2022 21:58

A couple of days unless there are spillages.

GonnaBeYoniThisChristmas · 29/11/2022 22:02

God, at least a week - sorry, we are unclean. 😊

AlwaysFullOfQuestions22 · 29/11/2022 22:04

Yes as dd doesn't wear underwear and inevitably gets breakfast everywhere.

MaryMollyPolly · 29/11/2022 22:04

No, definitely not.

Rockingcloggs · 29/11/2022 22:04

Every other day but that's because he's a right sweaty Betty in his sleep and I don't want them to smell!

chikp · 29/11/2022 22:05

No. Have you seen the price of energy?

LolaSmiles · 29/11/2022 22:05

Every couple of days unless they're dirty/there's spills or marks. Toothpaste marks don't count though.

Puddywoodycat · 29/11/2022 22:06

No

Dirt is sweat, poo stains, built up skin issue's..

Bacteria around bum area.

Notplayingball · 29/11/2022 22:06

Every three days roughly.

Oneofthosewsillydays · 29/11/2022 22:11

Clean pyjamas after bath/shower so every other night. Clean vest every 24 hours, underwear and socks everyday. With clothes it depends what they've been doing, youngest tends to dirty his more. I try get items like jeans to have had at least afew wears. Clean school trousers everyday (they get dirty/muddy), school tshirt everyday-every other day, school jumper I try to get a couple of wears out of (unless spot cleaning doesn't cut it).

Lilbunnyfufu · 29/11/2022 22:13

Clean pj on bath nights so every other day or if one of the little ones wets the bed.
I'm not making extra washing by changing them everyday I've enough washing to do with extra pj's
Dd 15 changes hers everyday but no idea why cause she dont sleep in her pj's.

DoubleShotEspresso · 29/11/2022 22:17

Yes always clean pjs straight after bath time.
I do this myself so couldn't imagine going differently for DC

B1rdinthebush · 29/11/2022 22:18

Bath/ shower and clean PJs every night in our house.

bakewellbride · 29/11/2022 22:22

Pants, socks and vests get changed daily but PJs usually get 2 or 3 nights until they need changing (ds 4)

NGCO · 29/11/2022 22:23

Yep every night
