Anyone else?

No, it's not cold enough here. I'm in shorts and have put a jumper on to eat tea. DD is in shorts and t-shirt with bare feet!!

Are you in Australia?

I’m just outside Glasgow and it’s a gorgeous day, wind is chilly but not cold enough indoors for heating to be on just yet.

Glasgow here too - about 11 degrees outside and 15 in the house.

I try to be relatively hardy and layer up, but today was enough: it feels damp AND cold.

I’ve had the windows open all day and I’m wearing shorts. Couldn’t even consider having the heating on yet.

Which part of Oz are you in?

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 26/09/2022 19:07

Definitely not here - I’m still in summer dresses & flip flops

BEAM123 · 26/09/2022 19:07

18C in my house and I'm freezing but can't cave in when it's still September, if ever.
I'm in a t shirt, flannel shirt, thermal leggings, oodie, socks and slippers. Working from home. Even had a hat on at one stage.
I never used to feel so cold, wouldn't mind having the hot flush stage back today, to be honest

Hitchhikingghosts · 26/09/2022 19:08

It was down to 1+ degrees outside the other morning (ice on the car), but we still had 19 degrees indoors. No heating on yet. I’m not in the UK, I think our houses might be better insulated..

DaniGrrl · 26/09/2022 19:10

Not yet. Under a blanket and cuddling the dog though!

Loobyloo68 · 26/09/2022 19:11

Heating on here but only needed for 2 hours. I'm not freezing in my own house.

teenagetantrums · 26/09/2022 19:12

It's about cold here. I have just put the heating on. Mainly to make sure it works. Hopefully will be ok with jumpers and blankets for next few weeks after today. But I'm not to worried as am on an old fixed deal till next year.

Trulyweird1 · 26/09/2022 19:13

No heating but lit the stove . Near Balmoral here.

Hitchhikingghosts · 26/09/2022 19:15

We have one of those indoor bio ethanol fireplaces. Not had it on yet, but it heats up the room nicely. Much more than I thought it would.

I finally gave up...
justasking111 · 26/09/2022 19:15

No but lit the log burner this afternoon rather than this evening. Wales is windy very wet today

SpringIntoChaos · 26/09/2022 19:16

Nope! I'm absolutely determined not to put the heating on until my breath freezes! (I'm only half joking!!)

Seriously though, I'm doing my best to hold out until October 😬

TabithaTittlemouse · 26/09/2022 19:17

I put a jumper on today. It was quite chilly when I went up to bed last night so I put a blanket on the bed.
We don’t wait for a certain date or temperature.

Talia99 · 26/09/2022 19:18

No but I’ve moved from the living room (coldest room in the house) under a blanket to sitting up in bed with the duvet over me from the waist down. I’m also still wearing a oodie. I’m feeling much warmer than I was 30 minutes ago.

My thermostat says 19.5 but it’s in the warmest room. It’s even less reliable when the heating is on - it’s on the other side of the wall to the pipes from the boiler to the radiators.

I WFH - I have a heated throw ready to go tomorrow. Hopefully that will give me at least another week or two.

LuckyLuckyWoman · 26/09/2022 19:18

glass of wine and a fleecy blanket. No heating yet

Ricardothesnowman · 26/09/2022 19:22

Thermostat is set to 17, and not clicked on yet. I have kept my shoes on this evening though!

JumpinJacques · 26/09/2022 19:31

I've popped it on for 30 minutes whilst the kids are making their way to bed tonight, just to take the chill out of the air. I've been cold during the day the past couple of days, I'm normally always in a vest/t-shirt but I've been in long sleeves.

JumpinJacques · 26/09/2022 19:32

Have also been wearing my dressing gown which I almost never do, and when I do I can't normally tolerate it on for long.

AuldReekie1905 · 26/09/2022 19:34

We're in the south of Germany and it got down to 0 degree last week in the night. We're back up to 9 outside at the moment and 20 inside (the sun shines in our double balcony doors in the late afternoon so it warms up the living room). I'm wrapped up in my fluffy dressing gown and we're managing for now but if it drops back down, I may cave before I wanted to.

Merrow · 26/09/2022 19:38

Mine was on this morning and I panicked about what lavish temperature I'd set it to in the heady days of last winter.

18 degrees. It's a house that gets cold, and there's something incredibly depressing about getting up at 6am for work when the house is less than 18 degrees.

Minniem2020 · 26/09/2022 19:44

It's definitely colder here today, down to 12 and the wind is making it feel cooler. Inside though it's 19 downstairs and 20 upstairs so I'm pleased we still haven't needed the heating. I was determined to hold out until October but I'll give in if I have to as we have a baby and 4 year old in the house.

Bloodybridget · 26/09/2022 19:45

We had the gas fire on in the living room earlier. Now I'm under a rug with my feet cosily tucked under DP's legs. But I can see us turning CH on tomorrow.

Coastalcreeksider · 26/09/2022 19:47

Mines not on at the moment but I want a shower in about half an hour so I'm going to put it on now as I hate a cold bathroom and love a warm towel to wrap round me.

whynotwhatknot · 26/09/2022 19:47

good luck with your bills if you cant even cope with 12 degrees
