Lord, that's a lot of steps to carry a coffin up!

PPPPlease · 19/09/2022 16:09

This bit is making me so nervous

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 16:09

Oh yes. Apologies re Linley - David Linley the furniture guy.

CaveMum · 19/09/2022 16:09

I imagine they’ve rehearsed up and down those steps with a heavier coffin many times in the last few days.

PolkaDotMankini · 19/09/2022 16:09

Ah yes, it's the same lads! The red-headed toothbrush-scrubbing officer (?) is my fave.

Waynettaaa · 19/09/2022 16:09

Heart in my mouth....those steps 🫣

PlacidPenelope · 19/09/2022 16:09

PugInTheHouse · 19/09/2022 16:03

How typically British that we are all finished off by seeing her animals. And thanks to the poster who said they don't know she's coming back as I literally cannot stop the tears now 😢

I think it's because animals don't care about your rank, title, position or wealth.

SoupDragon · 19/09/2022 16:09

The "levitating" the coffin is incredible.

Hebditch · 19/09/2022 16:09

Those steps..looking away now...

DontTrustThisPoster · 19/09/2022 16:09

They raise her so effortlessly, it’s as if she glided upwards it’s very moving

urgen · 19/09/2022 16:09

Sorry that was me re the corgi’s not knowing she isn’t coming back. You are right, this feels like a real funeral. Lots of us have pets and they have clearly been scrubbed and brushed up to look their best quite rightly.

God - we do these things well.

IpanemaChic · 19/09/2022 16:09

Not the steps. I think I need to pop out and fill my bird feeder or something…

MarshaBradyo · 19/09/2022 16:09

Are half the world really watching this? Is that correct?

4.1bn sounds very high

toomuchlaundry · 19/09/2022 16:09

Good luck lads

Prinnny · 19/09/2022 16:09

So beautiful, no where in the world could match anything like this.

Those kids, the young lads carrying, her dogs 💔

Joystir59 · 19/09/2022 16:09

I'm glad I'm finally having a cry about it. The Queen has been there all my life.

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 16:09

Nooo the steps!!

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 19/09/2022 16:09

Been off the internet and been watching solidly since 10.30am, but will have a gander through the 2 other Queen's Funeral threads later.

What an amazing sight to see. The MILLIONS of people waiting for her, around London AND Windsor was a sight to behold. Don't anyone EVER tell me the Queen wasn't loved, and the UK doesn't want - or need - this Royal family. Because it's not true.

I loved the Queen so much, and have shed quite a few tears today, especially as she was coming in for the funeral service, which was beautiful... ❤️ And the procession to Windsor Castle has been spectacular. As a few others have said, I am SO proud to be British, and to be part of this wonderful country, and would never EVER leave. We are a wonderful nation, I love the UK, and I love our Royal Family.

Godspeed Your Majesty, and thank you for your 70 years of wonderful service to this country and the Commonwealth. ❤️

SauvignonBlanche · 19/09/2022 16:09

The pall bearers are amazing

Sunbird24 · 19/09/2022 16:09

I suspect the Queen didn’t really weigh all that much by the end, she was only little anyway and she lost a lot of weight in the last year

Andante57 · 19/09/2022 16:10

Can’t watch

moonypadfootprongs · 19/09/2022 16:10

Blimey I thought they would have a different group of lads this time! They must be exhausted!

Hebditch · 19/09/2022 16:10

Those young men have been amazing though. Such poise and professionalism.

rocketfromthecrypt · 19/09/2022 16:10

True but the coffin is lined with lead.

SoupDragon · 19/09/2022 16:10

CaveMum · 19/09/2022 16:09

I imagine they’ve rehearsed up and down those steps with a heavier coffin many times in the last few days.

That means nothing though! The stress!
