All eyes on that orb!

I suspect the Queen didn’t really weigh all that much by the end, she was only little anyway and she lost a lot of weight in the last year

The coffin is lead lined though so it will be very heavy!

PlacidPenelope · 19/09/2022 16:10

It's the same coffin bearers, what a job they've done.

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 16:10

It's a bit nuts as there's no steps from the side entrance they went past.

The coffin is lead lined. I read earlier it weighs over 50stone!

Knittingmonster · 19/09/2022 16:10

Wonder how many hours they spent practicing this

rocketfromthecrypt · 19/09/2022 16:10

Sorry that was to @Sunbird24 . I think it weighs around 250kg.

RedToothBrush · 19/09/2022 16:10

Last time lads. You can do this.

Lead lined oak coffin though. That alone will weigh an awful lot.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 19/09/2022 16:11

Will the pall bearers get sports massages or similar after all that lifting?

PlacidPenelope · 19/09/2022 16:11

I daren't breathe.

True but the coffin is lined with lead.

I think they said it's a quarter of a tonne

DontTrustThisPoster · 19/09/2022 16:11

Been off the internet and been watching solidly since 10.30am, but will have a gander through the 2 other Queen's Funeral threads later.

What an amazing sight to see. The MILLIONS of people waiting for her, around London AND Windsor was a sight to behold. Don't anyone EVER tell me the Queen wasn't loved, and the UK doesn't want - or need - this Royal family. Because it's not true.

I loved the Queen so much, and have shed quite a few tears today, especially as she was coming in for the funeral service, which was beautiful... ❤️ And the procession to Windsor Castle has been spectacular. As a few others have said, I am SO proud to be British, and to be part of this wonderful country, and would never EVER leave. We are a wonderful nation, I love the UK, and I love our Royal Family.

Godspeed Your Majesty, and thank you for your 70 years of wonderful service to this country and the Commonwealth. ❤️

Ditto and I surprised myself with how many tears there were.

hopefully - and a medal!

AuldReekie1905 · 19/09/2022 16:11

Doing a great job up the steps

BruceAndNosh · 19/09/2022 16:12

Fascinating all the way it's been Right Left Right marching, now the bearers have to match on opposite feet

purpleme12 · 19/09/2022 16:12

The front one looked like he was finding it hard then!

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 16:12

The guy with his hand against the coffin at the back..

ApolloandDaphne · 19/09/2022 16:12

Those lads are amazing. I hope someone buys them a pint tonight!

caz114 · 19/09/2022 16:12

They deserve OBE's at least

RedToothBrush · 19/09/2022 16:12

These steps look steeper.

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 16:12

I guess the family are safer waiting till the bearer party make it up the steps in case it catapulted back on them.

Lovelycupofcoffee · 19/09/2022 16:12

I started crying when I saw her pony stood there 😭

Elderflower14 · 19/09/2022 16:12

That coffin is rocking a bit!!!
