How typically British that we are all finished off by seeing her animals. And thanks to the poster who said they don't know she's coming back as I literally cannot stop the tears now 😢

At Edward VII's funeral his dog Caesar walked right behind the coffin, and there was a very popular book written, called Where's Master? about how Caesar was looking for the king and couldn't find him.

I’ve never really understood what a lady in waiting is. If it’s an older person what do they actually do?

I think they are what is now referred to as a Personal Assistant but they don't het paid.

Viscount Linley is behind Harry. Princess Margaret's son.

Not Viscount Linley anymore since his father died - he’s Earl Snowdon.

I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but who were the two ladies with staffs, walking in front of the hearse?

I was wondering that too, had to pop out to rescue someone from A&E so might have missed it.

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 16:06

Fhd the flowers inside are gorgeous, the flag, purple cushion....the amazing uniforms.

That Drum beat us extraordinary bouncing off the castle walls and with the bagpipes.

Beautiful, isn’t it?

Worried22123 · 19/09/2022 16:07

It's all been absolute perfection. It's made me proud to be British. The military, the bagpipes, the choir boys, the architecture of the buildings. All of it magnificent!

Bunnycat101 · 19/09/2022 16:07

Windsor is looking beautiful. This alone would have been a ‘big thing’ even without London. The family must all be knackered. Hope they get a chance to just pause later on.

Not Viscount Linley anymore since his father died - he’s Earl Snowdon.

I think I saw Viscount Linley as well, next to Snowdon and his sister, Lady Margarita.

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 16:07

I've stayed in the Castle compound. The chapel is really special.

CaveMum · 19/09/2022 16:07

Oh heck, here come the steps.

Beachsidesunset · 19/09/2022 16:07

My 5 year old: 'Are the flowers there because people loved her so much?' 😥

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 16:07

I didn't know how they would "top" her being brought to London/ Westminster hall.

But I'm absolutely blown .

Away.

Genvonklinkerhoffen · 19/09/2022 16:07

Chap in the car looks like he's wearing a Queen's Police Medal.

SoupDragon · 19/09/2022 16:08

That is a lot of steps up to the Chapel. I remember that from Prince Phillip's funeral.

big job for the bearers now!

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 16:08

Same bearers!!

DontTrustThisPoster · 19/09/2022 16:08

Those lads carrying the coffin are phenomenal, what pressure and privilege.

BruceAndNosh · 19/09/2022 16:08
