I think Charlotte has strong Princess Anne potential

Yip taking after her great Auntie!

User287264 · 19/09/2022 17:57

There are some really funny Prince Louis memes on twitter right now if anyone needs cheering up. Along the lines of Louis Home Alone style in Buckingham Palace

DH said the same thing.

Oh right, I thought it was just 10, or is that to give the RF time to themselves like normal people?

urgen · 19/09/2022 17:59

I hope H and M find some peace. Cancel the book and the endless carping about their lot in life. Look at the love and respect one women has been given and perhaps learn from it and try and find some closure themselves. Harry in particular seems raging and isolated.

wherearebeefandonioncrisps · 19/09/2022 17:59

I'm inclined to agree with you @urgen

National mourning is over after tonight, so yes I think this is for the RF to have a much-needed break before resuming public engagements.

Which funeral march is it that 5 been played in the processions (today and Tuesday)?

I've tried googling, the BBC and can't find an answer.

I also spent ages trying to find this - it’s Beethoven’s Funeral March 2 and 3

I wouldn't be surprised if they're on a plane back to California within 24 hours. This may have made them realize that they can't really take on the RF, it's a far bigger institution than they are.

As you say, @urgen, I hope they just get on with their lives now.

RaraRachael · 19/09/2022 18:03

@urgen I was thinking along similar lines. I wonder how Harry feels when he sees the likes of today and has to jet off across the pond to his new life in America.

I know where I'd rather live

Maggiesgirl · 19/09/2022 18:05

Anny one else wondering watchingMegan in tears, has it finally sunk in what it means to be Royal.

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 18:05

Urgen I hope Charles bends over backwards to make amends to his son who he gave an horrific childhood.

Whether that was his fault/ out of his control...a lot yes, but Harry deserves support. .
I think that would help to bring him to peace.

I doubt you'd want to live in a country with a press that hounded your mother to death and hounded your new wife to the point she nearly had a breakdown...

KosherDill · 19/09/2022 18:06

I think Charles is riding a wave of sympathy and if he were savvy, he'd do another TV address tomorrow, thanking the public for its recognition of the Queen, its major efforts to turn out and send her off, and for the outpouring of condolences to him and the RF.

It would make him seem human and connected rather than just disappearing behind palace walls for his well-deserved cocktails and taking up official duties.

The Queen became Queen in the February 1952 and Coronation was 16? months later ie summer 53.

I don't think it will be that long partly because of the time of year and partly his will be planned already. Hers wasn't expected and they needed to sort the TV cameras as it was the first big event to be broadcast.

The only time there has been less than a year between Accession and Coronation was the Coronation of George VI after the abdication.

Over a year is likely to be to do with mourning and respect etc.

Definitely another Anne in the making!

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 18:08

I bet they were happy to be able to be part of this and pay their respects.

However who wouldn't want to escape back to America and relax?
This has all been sublimely spectacular however it's also bizzare in so many ways.

So many odd moment's.

In what possible way did Harry have a horrific childhood?

Other than walking behind his mum's coffin which seems to be done by agreement between both Harry and William.

I'm still struggling to find out what the lovely music is that's played at the beginning and end of all the BBC programmes about the Queen over the last 10 days. Anybody?

I was fine until Emma her pony was waiting for her at Windsor 😓

Me too! I hope someone knows, or can suggest who to ask.....
I also particularly liked the music that played as the coverage of her leaving Scotland was shown (that was a piano solo). At the very end, as the plane lifted to the skies.

Just seen something that said 5 billion and it's 67% (iirc) of the population.

5.1 billion

63% of worlds population.

That's impressive. How many other funerals could get that amount of world coverage?

I think he's done plenty of connecting these past few days, and as a human, he should now have a few days to grieve in private.

She really is. I thought the kids did so well today. Really did their parents proud.

PH is the worst advert for therapy ever. It's obviously not achieved anything for him. His marriage was a nightmare too. They seem to bring out the worst in each other.
