Yes the drumming is great , the marching and keeping to the beat etc.

im sure there will be lots of sore feet tonight !

GuyFawkesDay · 19/09/2022 15:51

Emma is a Fell pony, HM rode Highlands too but Fell ponies aren't so rotund and easier for her to ride as she got older.

ShirleyJackson · 19/09/2022 15:51

I really hoped they’d bring a corgi to say goodbye. My dad’s dog came to his funeral and it felt exactly right.

User287264 · 19/09/2022 15:51

Her staff just look so sad and weary. They really knew her. Seeing them makes me feel tearful

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 19/09/2022 15:51

Sorry if this has been covered earlier. Who is the really tall, relatively young man in morning dress, with dark hair and glasses, two in front of the hearse on the right (the left as we are looking at the screen)? Must be a member of the Queen's household, but what role?

ApolloandDaphne · 19/09/2022 15:51

All the flower tributes laid out look quite lovely.

IpanemaChic · 19/09/2022 15:52

Sandy and Muick the corgis are waiting for her I believe.

PugInTheHouse · 19/09/2022 15:52

I have held it together all day and them bringing the pony out to see her has wrecked me

toomuchlaundry · 19/09/2022 15:52

How do they know when to stop marching when they stop briefly?

Joystir59 · 19/09/2022 15:52

The queen's pony standing at the side of the pocession...has been my undoing!

FoolishMortals · 19/09/2022 15:53

Oh gosh really? 😭😭😭

I believe he is her assistant secretary, do you mean the one stood with Tall Paul?

Lavendersummer · 19/09/2022 15:53

That’s Tall Paul. I think he was her butler

powershowerforanhour · 19/09/2022 15:54

The flowers on the grass are beautiful. And her pony, how sweet.

ShirleyJackson · 19/09/2022 15:54

Good.

strangelyenough · 19/09/2022 15:54

@Joystir59 me too!

Which funeral march is it that 5 been played in the processions (today and Tuesday)?

I've tried googling, the BBC and can't find an answer.

The BBC said three funeral marches were Beethoven.

Derbyderby · 19/09/2022 15:54

Windsor looks beautiful. The pony is adorable. How proud must the families of all those servicemen and servicewomen feel today.

PugInTheHouse · 19/09/2022 15:54

Tall Paul is the bald man I think, he's worked for her for many years

Oblomov22 · 19/09/2022 15:54

My Dh has to go to work (water emergency) and will drive past/as near to as he can get to, with road closures - to the Golden Mile. Bet that'll be hard.

MrsTimRiggins · 19/09/2022 15:54

Tall Paul makes me laugh every time it’s posted

RubyJam · 19/09/2022 15:54

How tired must the band be too ! Using all their energy to not only blow the trumpets and brass instruments but the walking too.

rocketfromthecrypt · 19/09/2022 15:55

In amongst all the pageantry it's the personal touches, like her favourite horse being brought out to watch, that remind you that she was a person as well as a head of state. 🥹

Lavendersummer · 19/09/2022 15:53

No, tall Paul has white hair and no glasses (have been Googling frantically, as DH and I are now fixated!). I think @PugInTheHouse must be right - thanks.

theDudesmummy · 19/09/2022 15:55

This feels so final now. It is incredibly moving.
