Confused. Coffin lowered just now into vault. But it will be buried later. How? Is there a further hole under the vault?

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 16:59

There are stairs down into the vault

SettingsO · 19/09/2022 16:59

were there boobs on the flag

I noticed that! Britannia?

RedToothBrush · 19/09/2022 17:00

Hope there are decent sausage rolls at the buffet.

PizzaFunghi · 19/09/2022 17:00

I dont' mind seeing emotion, but for their sakes, I think they might rather not be sobbing and sniffing, which is what would happen to me for sure, and dripping noses and all that.

I wish I knew how they did it, as there are times like that when I would like to be able to keep it slightly more under control at least

WildfellAnne · 19/09/2022 16:58

Was it done in succession order?

I thought she went out before William as well?

Iliveonahill · 19/09/2022 17:00

Beautiful day. But makes me so aware of my mortality. How we take people for granted and assume they will be here for ever. Really hard.

PeppaPigIsBacon · 19/09/2022 16:38

I thought it was “on” as well, and”those” that trespass against us, not “them”

Don’t recall the Westminster version being different to my memory

The Westminster version was indeed "on Earth" and they also said "who art in Heaven" rather than "which art".... I was a bit surprised that they weren't consistent for something like this (but then I'm RC and we always say it wrong anyway, so what would I know! 😁)

urgen · 19/09/2022 17:00

Kate looks utterly elegant and polished. I know she has help but honestly she never gets this sort of thing wrong.

Probably.
I worked for a very short time at a Crematorium, the Coffins go through from the Service into a 'Holding' area before being 'Cremated' later on that day.

Harry just thanked the doorman. He also sighed a massive sigh in the car.

They must all be exhausted Sad

Vapeyvapevape · 19/09/2022 17:00

@greenhousegal i think we're all saying that we don't know how they're not all in tears , not that we think they shouldn't be .

The Coffin is lowered in private , away from the public.

it was lowered during the service

TroysMammy · 19/09/2022 17:01

I really felt for King Charles when they want God Save The King. How he didn't burst into tears I'd never know.

Underneath the Quire is a small chapel with a vault where her father, mother and sister are already interred. She will be interred, along with Prince Philip, in the vault this evening.

Wow seen Megan's outfit in full. Amazing but why no sparkles! She needs a broach or something

It was literally just lowered. It'll be put in its final resting place in private. But lowering into the vault has just happened

It wasn’t. We saw it televised.

Skodacool · 19/09/2022 17:01

George and Charlotte look very pale, they could do with a good run around the park

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 17:01

Hope they now get Egg and Cress sarnies, with the crusts cut off..

TroysMammy · 19/09/2022 17:01

I can keep it under control when I have a job to do. I didn't cry at my dad's funeral as I had the eulogy to deliver. I had everyone to get where they needed to be. I was stoic and stereotypically stiff upper lip. It was absolutely bloody exhausting and as soon as I was home with my husband I was an absolute mess.

I hope they find their private farewell peaceful and comforting.

MarshaBradyo · 19/09/2022 17:02

I didn’t realise we would watch that service too

So beautiful. I’ve run out of times I can say that. Feel really moved by the whole day

I’m glad others felt the same on this thread, mn is typically depressing without

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 17:02

Oh yea, now for the, spread.

bellac11 · 19/09/2022 17:02

Ive missed everything that people keep mentioning, Edward crying, Beatrice' mascara running, the spider, the coffin lowering
