If you have an unshakeable faith then praising the lord who has called you home is very fitting.

Well that was a moment, wasn’t it?

Duty done, Ma’am. Sleep now.

Well done, good and faithful servant. No-one deserves that rest better than you do.

ThunderstomsAreComing · 19/09/2022 16:46

Racing driver Jackie Stewart was the chapel - he was a friend, as was the Horse Whisperer Monty Roberts (who I know was at the Abbey part as I saw an interview with him)

Vapeyvapevape · 19/09/2022 16:46

Well done Charles

Mummyoflittledragon · 19/09/2022 16:46

The removal of the instruments of state was poignant. So moving. That set me off. The Queen becoming an ordinary person.

urgen · 19/09/2022 16:47

Shirley. That was a nice thing to say. Very touching.

Mummyoflittledragon · 19/09/2022 16:47

Idk how they are all doing this with such poise.

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 16:47

Poor Charles.

What this poor man has been through the past days!

Imagine how many Hours sleep he has had!

I hope they all go and rest for weeks.

dropthevipers · 19/09/2022 16:47

Disappointed about the breaking of the wand-was hoping to see him snap it over his knee. Gets coat

PolkaDotMankini · 19/09/2022 16:47

The 'breaking of the wand' was a bit underwhelming. I expected him to properly snap it.

PizzaFunghi · 19/09/2022 16:48

wonder if those who don't sing along to hymns don't know the tune, don't ever sing, can't speak English, can't see the words, are too emotional to sing, etc. Probably some of each.

PizzaFunghi · 19/09/2022 16:48

or if they are other religions and woudln't ever sing along.

MelodyPondsMum · 19/09/2022 16:48

I'm a complete mess. I've no idea how they're so composed.

Vapeyvapevape · 19/09/2022 16:49

Same here @MelodyPondsMum

GuyFawkesDay · 19/09/2022 16:49

I struggled to sing very well known hymns at family funerals. I have to close my eyes and just sing without thinking or looking. I don't know how they've done this, the family

Vapeyvapevape · 19/09/2022 16:49

Oh no the pipes

AnotherExpatKiwi · 19/09/2022 16:49

It’s trespasses, not trespassers. As in sinned or did you wrong, not walk on your land uninvited.

CaveMum · 19/09/2022 16:49

Oh heck, the piper.

ThunderstomsAreComing · 19/09/2022 16:50

goosebumps with that piper

PleaseGoDontGoAgain · 19/09/2022 16:50

Jesus she's actually gone. That's it. Done.

Vapeyvapevape · 19/09/2022 16:50

So hauntingly beautiful

Pumpkintopf · 19/09/2022 16:50

So moving, the piper moving away

PizzaFunghi · 19/09/2022 16:50

yes I don't think I coudl sing at all for family funerals. Even when my choir sings at people's funerals where I don't know them, but have got a bit choked up just because of the emotion of a funeral, I find it hard to sing

notlyndasnell · 19/09/2022 16:50

@MelodyPondsMum same here too!
(just poured myself a rather large brandy)

SoupDragon · 19/09/2022 16:50

Does the piper get quieter or just further away?
