SauvignonBlanche · 19/09/2022 16:12

I had to shut my eyes!

LIZS · 19/09/2022 16:12

They are in!

Windsor Castle is well worth a visit. I went round during the summer

Just wondering if you could visit. Thank you!

frasersmummy · 19/09/2022 16:13

apologies if this has already been asked but is that orb and spectre fixed on. I dont see how it would have survived the trip up those stairs other wise

TokyoSushi · 19/09/2022 16:13

I think the flag on the coffin adds an extra level of jeopardy, so many opportunities for it to get caught on things!

RedToothBrush · 19/09/2022 16:13

7th man holding up the back this time!

FuzzyPuffling · 19/09/2022 16:13

Argh, we had this psalm at our wedding. The words are so lovely.

WildfellAnne · 19/09/2022 16:13

Diegofrompennyburn · 19/09/2022 16:10

All eyes on that orb!

It’s attached to the coffin with a clasp.

notlyndasnell · 19/09/2022 16:13

...... and breathe ....................

DontTrustThisPoster · 19/09/2022 16:13

The choirs today have been otherworldly, ethereal.

GeorgeEzr4 · 19/09/2022 16:13

Apparently the coffin weighs between 250kg (551lb) and 317kg (699lb).

MinnyMous · 19/09/2022 16:13

Emma, the pony, was really said as were the corgis.

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 16:12

I guess the family are safer waiting till the bearer party make it up the steps in case it catapulted back on them.

Just imagine… the coffin hurtles down and takes out Charles.. 😳

BruceAndNosh · 19/09/2022 16:13

St George's is so beautiful

Came on to ask this! The gravity was concerning me. The pallbearers have been so brave. I would be terrified

Dave20 · 19/09/2022 16:13

For the rest of their careers/ lives those young men can say they carried the Queens coffin.
What an honour

morningtoncrescent62 · 19/09/2022 16:14

The bearer party lads must have been trained not to pull any faces - you wouldn't know from watching them that they were doing anything requiring physical effort. Great show from them.

JudgeJ · 19/09/2022 16:14

Sunbird24 · 19/09/2022 16:09

I suspect the Queen didn’t really weigh all that much by the end, she was only little anyway and she lost a lot of weight in the last year

That's what I thought, unlike Churchill who was massive, there were similar steps at St Pauls and they were icy!

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 19/09/2022 16:14

Imagine being a PB's Mum, your heart must be bursting and in your mouth all at once!

They’re attached to the coffin. I assume the standard has slits in it to accommodate the clasps.

Andante57 · 19/09/2022 16:14

I think there will be quite a bit of press coverage about the pall bearers over the next few days.

Knittingmonster · 19/09/2022 16:15

They definitely deserve a pint or two. They’ll have bragging rights for ever.
