This is a real good guide for all the timings for tomorrow - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60617519

The bit at the end with the Lord Chamberlain will be the hardest to watch I think, signaling the end of his service to her, as will the act of separating her from her crown.

I know everyone isn't a royalist but today will be such a sad occasion.

Incredible shot of crown just then! With. Sprig of rosemary by it

What does the rosemary signify?

Thank goodness that piece of paper was removed. The close ups looked dreadful with it. Pleased.

I can imagine the messages.

Radio messages to camera 3 to keep off whilst someone retrieves paper.

Another radio message to camera 3 - the coast is clear. You can broadcast again!

excelledyourself · 19/09/2022 11:27

Who is the man beside Fergie?

The card says 'in loving and devoted memory', I think. I believe it's Charles's writing.

That's lovely thank you!

mostlydrinkstea · 19/09/2022 11:27

A Christian funeral is more of a shape than a standard set of words. So far we have readings and hymns. There will be a sermon then prayers and commendation.

The choir singing as the coffin came in nearly did for me. I've said those words for other people but it is powerful stuff to hear it sung.

Bestcatmum · 19/09/2022 11:27

The chairs in the cathedral look incredibly uncomfortable, how will the older guests cope. I'd be in agony after 5 minutes.
I wonder if they allow certain dignitaries such as the King of Tonga to bring their own chairs.

Hopeandlove · 19/09/2022 11:27

Liz T good not about her but respect for her M. Who dropped her paper? Can you imagine the stress of it poor person.

What does the rosemary signify?

Rosemary for remembrance.

BlueBloodedBlue · 19/09/2022 11:28

We sang that at my Mum's funeral, I've totally gone now

vera16 · 19/09/2022 11:28

Shoot me down but Boris would have done a great reading.

JustLyra · 19/09/2022 11:28

Who is the man beside Fergie?

Earl Snowdon

Borris · 19/09/2022 11:28

Justin Welby seems a safe pair of hands.

LondonWolf · 19/09/2022 11:27

What does the rosemary signify?

Rosemary is for remembrance

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 11:28

Love that Harry is directly behind Charles..

TugboatAnnie · 19/09/2022 11:28

I suppose Harry and Meghan would have been on the front but George and Charlotte were last minute I presume?

excelledyourself · 19/09/2022 11:28

Thanks @JustLyra

Cocolapew · 19/09/2022 11:29

How do you become a choir boy in Westminster Abbey? Do they audition?

MarshaBradyo · 19/09/2022 11:29

Toddlerteaplease · 19/09/2022 11:27

Boris would actually have read beautifully.

I know how people feel about him on here but yes I’m pretty sure he would have

PizzaFunghi · 19/09/2022 11:29

There's probably just not enough room in the front row for everyone so some practical considerations would have to be made. William and Kate have the children with them, Zara and Peter are older, Louise and James probably need to be right behind their parents, etc. it's not totally age order, as Beatrice (or her sister, not sure) is on the other side of Louise and James, with her husband. And the other sister is in the row behind William and Kate I think, as well as Harry? So a mix of reasons for seating

TugboatAnnie · 19/09/2022 11:29

There's an older lady on the other side of Fergie who I can't place.

Rainbunny · 19/09/2022 11:29

This could have been Boris doing this.

Fair point, and his hair makes him look a scruffy mess no matter how expensively attired he might be.

kateandme · 19/09/2022 11:29

My mum said one of the things that would keep her going would be to say fuck off bye bye to Boris.i hope in some small way Queenie had this same thought this last week...allthough truss errrk. But still she got to shake Boris out the door!
That must have bought her a cheeky Elizabeth smile and some peace.

Edinburgh also threw a huge spanner in the works

What do you mean?

How to you think Edinburgh threw a spanner in the works? It’s been very well rehearsed. Operation Unicorn was planned for many many years. It’s been documented that the queen’s favourite home was Balmoral, where she could be herself. I think when she went to Balmoral after the jubilee she knew she wouldn’t come back and fully planned it that way.

KosherDill · 19/09/2022 11:29

Are the Middletons there?

FuzzyPuffling · 19/09/2022 11:29

Cocolapew · 19/09/2022 11:29

How do you become a choir boy in Westminster Abbey? Do they audition?

Oh yes. Very difficult to get in - top singers only!
