I've been finding this mesmerising so thought I'd create a dedicated thread.
Saw Justin Trudeau and his wife pass through earlier.

Do you think in the coming weeks there'll be support groups set up for those of us suffering from mourn porn withdrawal?

MrsLargeEmbodied · 17/09/2022 17:05

aah its back!

OldTinHat · 17/09/2022 17:10

I'm absolutely hooked on it. I have to force myself to get out of bed in the morning because I can't stop watching it (and maybe because I've been watching it until the early hours...!).

UghAsIf · 17/09/2022 17:15

I'm another one obsessed with it, my children roll their eyes when i ask for the remote.
I've had it on as background noise.
I love watching all the different people and their different ways of acknowledging it all. I am confused by the people who just seem to walk through without seeming to so much as glance at the coffin - especially after the time they'd have queued.

LIZS · 17/09/2022 17:16

Do we have a time for the vigil by the grandchildren yet?

MrsLargeEmbodied · 17/09/2022 17:16

@UghAsIf
i think the camera missed the bow, that is what i tell myself, or they bowed before the camera saw them, or didnt feel it was necessary.

threepointonefourone · 17/09/2022 17:22

Another one here who finds it curiously soothing.

Horcruxe · 17/09/2022 17:29

Earlier on today.

I saw a group of 4 people wearing long cream robes with a symbol on their left shoulders.

Some people getting really upset.

Others just walking past.

Yesterday I saw someone in the dignitaries line laughing and joking as they walked past.

I just thought, I bet if they'd waited 14 hours to pay their respect they probably would have taken it more seriously.

I think they may have just arrived. There was a lot of cheering as some cars came in.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 17/09/2022 17:48

yes the camera focused away from the queen to all the cars

MrsLargeEmbodied · 17/09/2022 17:49

there seems to be someone wearing a flag and not much else

toomuchlaundry · 17/09/2022 17:58

LIZS · 17/09/2022 17:59

eddiemairswife · 17/09/2022 18:03

I and my friend went to Queen Mary's Lying-in-State. It was in the Easter holidays. We couldn't go to the King's as it was in term time. We didn't have to queue for hours.

Horcruxe · 17/09/2022 18:04

Yes

oakleaffy · 17/09/2022 18:04

Such a beautiful Hammerbeam Roof in the Chapel.
Such skilled Workmanship from an era where it was basic hand tools.
Britain ( And Europe) has some magnificent Historical Architecture.
Wonder if the Craftsmen knew their work would still be standing Centuries hence?
I have a bit of charred. centuries old Oak from Windsor Castle Fire, a fragment from the restoration-
I treasure it .

Jellykat · 17/09/2022 18:04

Look at little Viscount Severn, hes so tiny! bless him..
