Did you see as the camera was starting to zoom towards them, Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos of Spain were just leaving. They'd paid their respects from the floor level and the queue had been paused for them. I guess he can't to do the stairs!

The DCMS Twitter says the queue is still open, but wait time is 8hrs, surely they’ll have to close it really soon if it ends at 6.30am.

We are a group of tiny damp islands, and yet here are the world leaders and press for this. Quite humbling.

Imagine queuing all those hours only for some selfish parent to have taken their crying child in there, to completely ruin the short time you have, alongside those that forget to turn their phones off. Watching it right now and that's just what's occurred. I'd be so pissed off. Moment ruined forever

European and UK royalty are all related through Victoria and progeny I think.

Either through Victoria's descendants, or those of Christian IX of Denmark, or both. One of Christian's daughters was our Queen Alexandra, another married into the Russian royal family, and a son became King of Greece - from whom Philip was descended.

I think the Swedish Royal Family is the only one ours isn't related to, although you have to go a long way back to find some of the connections.

The Swedish king's grandmother was Queen Victoria's granddaughter. Or something like that. Princess Margaret of Connaught

So is King Charles our last monarch to be purely descended from Royalty? As William is technically half-royal and half-commoner (although obviously Diana was high born, but not Royal blood)

It is quite phenomenal that over 500 royals, heads of state, representatives and presidents are all together for tomorrow.. for 1 lady, says a huge amount doesnt it!?
