Driving yesterday. Looked out the window. And there was a car transporter. Ten little cars. All yellow.

Except I was on my own. So it doesn’t count. But I feel like I have won forever now. Why was no one there!!!!!

We play yellow car and mini punch and if we see 2 minis in a row it is a punch punch pinch. VW beetle are beetle bite (pinch). We have various other ones that make car journeys quite painful. I was fuming the other day when I drove past 4 minis parked in a row and one was yellow and I was alone in the car 😩

We call this game Ping Pong (no idea why)

● Ping for a yellow car (1 point)
● Pong for a mini (1 point)
● Ping Pong for a yellow mini (5 points)

Call for Ping and its not actually yellow (to gold, too green etc) then you lose sleep accrued points

Since you asked me for a tale about yellow car merchandise, I believe I have a story about that.

My DS and I have been playing this for years. He's obviously got bigger and the punches are harder. We stopped saying 'yellow car' and just go for the thump. The looks we get if we're walking into town - seemingly randomly hitting each other or running off !!

We play Yellow Car or Fiat 500. There's a point for a yellow car and a point for a Fiat 500 and a yellow Fiat 500 is a million points and the winner for that day. The DC ALWAYS claim that it's not yellow when I see a yellow car, they claim it's mustard, gold, orange, whatever.

Also, about six months ago I saw a yellow Fiat 500 and the driver was wearing an almost matching yellow top, which I feel should have been worth extra points. But I was alone in the car at the time so there was nobody to win against.

We play the ‘Defender! No Returns’ variation. If we were ever to see a yellow Defender, we’d probably have to pull over for a little rest.

We used to play yellow car, standard no punch variety. One day, my son went on a school trip and returned announcing that their driver had introduced "yellow car quack quack" into their vocabulary. So, for the last four years or so, it's been..

Yellow car, quackquack. When walking along the road, watching tv, on public transport, looking out the window. Yellow car (quackquack) is always on.

Can I just check, are you all hiring someone when you see a yellow car? Because that's my DCs version. Apparently they have to hit someone and say "yellow car". Is the hitting not actually necessary?

We play Yellow Car - Tesla. The other day, I won and saw a yellow Tesla.

We don't hit. But get extra points for a mini.

50 points for a yellow magic mini (toddler DD thought convertibles were magic, the name has stuck).

Oh, and for the avoidance of doubt, commercial vehicles don't count - taxis, aa vehicles, trotters robins etc.

My 9 year old would've gone nuts if they'd seen that car transporter!
We're also always playing, on our recent holiday we had to shout Voiture Jaune for obvious reasons 😬
I can't wait until they get a phone, and I can send pics of yellow cars, I've also promised them a yellow mini when they pass their driving test!
