Driving yesterday. Looked out the window. And there was a car transporter. Ten little cars. All yellow.

Except I was on my own. So it doesn’t count. But I feel like I have won forever now. Why was no one there!!!!!

@cakeorwine I've never heard of Cabin Pressure but a quick Google shows an original air date of July 2008 - I was playing yellow car with my siblings back in the 80's.

Asking for a friend….is it socially acceptable to ‘hit’ a random stranger who happens to be stood near you if you see a yellow car 😁?!
We play Yellow Car whenever we are out, and there have been times my children haven’t been with me. I feel it is such a waste to have to hold in a ‘hit’.

(Disclaimer: when I say ‘hit’, I mean a light tap from me. My little darlings, however, give a full on whack to the shoulder 😄)

Kids play yellow car all the time, they also play the version where if you see a mini you have to punch someone - its called 'Mini punch' strangely enough. I have banned it from the car because a simple argument is bad enough without added violence.

I've never heard of this, but I'm obviously a fully fledged player now.

Me and my brother had 'pinch green Citroen' after being on a holiday in France. A French boy taught us that one.
Also, we could have a travel sweet if we saw a Weetabix lorry.

I have a yellow car but I’ve had it since 2019. Hardly ever see any other yellow ones in the same make and model as they stopped making it in a few colours but just last week I saw one in the updated version of that model. So maybe they are making more of that colour now.

It was DH’s fleet! I mentioned the thread to him as we play. He knew instantly from OP’s description. The driver sent a photo. Kent to Birmingham?

@JenniferWooley I wholeheartedly recommend that you listen to Cabin Pressure. It is the most glorious piece of radio. Laugh out loud funny but also sweetly touching at times.

My brother and I used to always play "Mini nip" so you pinched someone rather than hitting them if you saw a Mini.

Our dad had to call a halt to it when we were in the car one day and he drove past the biggest Mini dealership we'd ever seen. 😂

We play this too but in Australia it's called 'spotto'. So if you see a yellow car you yell SPOTTO! Some people also do green cars, but you yell 'snotto'😆
