What's the temperature inside your house right now?

Our heating is controlled by Hive and our thermostat is in our hall and it's showing as 16.9 degrees. The two living room radiators are 15.7 and 16.2 but bizarrely it doesn't actually feel that cold to me so the heating isn't on.

What's the temperature in your house right now and is your heating on?

Heating isn’t on. 19.9° in the bathroom with a window open. Temperature outside is 14.2°. Readings from digital weather station.
do not feel cold at all. Will sleep with window open and a lovely duvet.

Titsywoo · 15/09/2022 21:31

20 here - no heating, that hasn't been on since spring. It feels nicely warm just wearing a tshirt and shorts.

spagbog5 · 15/09/2022 21:31

19.8 degrees no heating on

20 degrees in my bedroom according to the groegg.
Window's open.
The thermostat thing on the landing says 19 degrees

Obviously the hearing's not on with this!

Strangerthings4NW · 15/09/2022 21:33

21° here in Belfast. New build house well insulated and the heating won’t be on until end of October I suspect.

TheHorrorOfIt · 15/09/2022 21:34

18.5° here; it felt chilly earlier because I’ve been sitting at my desk all afternoon. I now have fluffy socks on (bare legs) and will probably be too warm in a bit; the temperature has gone up due to cooking etc as well

In my mind I thought we could probably get through to mid October without any heating but I don’t think that will be likely tbh. Not succumbing yet though!

Fex · 15/09/2022 21:35

I put heating on according to temperature not calendar.
It's 21C so no heating on as thermostat set at 20C.

AntlerRose · 15/09/2022 21:35

21 degrees, no heating on, back door open.

Mybeautifulfriend22 · 15/09/2022 21:35

Was 19 this morning but is 20.5 currently.

Wazzzzzuuuuuuup · 15/09/2022 21:36

18.6 on my Hive. Max temperature today was 18.7 and it was as cool as 17.3 today. Looking through my history this is the coldest day for months. I must admit I'm feeling it having come up to bed and dh had left the bedroom window open all day and evening. I'm determined to keep the heating off til October though.

gingercat02 · 15/09/2022 21:36

19.6 on the hive. Heating off but we both put jumpers on earlier. I probably would have lit the fire but the chimney hasn't been swept yet

Mybeautifulfriend22 · 15/09/2022 21:36

Oh and that’s with no heating. Not till October!

EspeciallyDivided · 15/09/2022 21:36

21C downstairs according to Nest, which is set to come on at 18 and hasn't come on since spring.

illiterato · 15/09/2022 21:37

22 - south west England, no heating. I’m trying not to put it on till after October half term. Reckon should be doable. Actually had the back door open this evening as was a bit warm.

ChipsRoastOrBoiled · 15/09/2022 21:38

19.3°C and it feels fine. No need for extra layers and we certainly don't need the heating on. Hoping we'll not need it till at least mid-October but I hear we're due a cold snap shortly. I'm in the west of the central belt in Scotland.

CirreltheSquirrel · 15/09/2022 21:38

I'm abroad with work so no idea what the weather's like. According to hive it is 17.4 in the house but my OH hasn't felt the need to turn the heating on.

(I don't spy on his heating use usually, just checked for this thread!)

BloobryMuffin · 15/09/2022 21:39

17.5-19.5 depending on room. Room I’m in is 18.5, I’m under a duvet with a hoody on and a touch warm. No heating on.

MaryTruss · 15/09/2022 21:40

23 no heating - it rarely drops below 20 thanks to being a terrace in between two heat enthusiasts

Biscuitandacuppa · 15/09/2022 21:40

20.5 in the living room, it’s perfectly comfortable and I don’t normally put the heating on until it drops to 15. This year I will be using blankets and hot water bottles and hoping to limit use until the coldest months (Jan/feb).

vipersnest1 · 15/09/2022 21:43

Mine's supposedly 22 degrees in the hallway, but I've just gone round and shut all of the windows 'properly' earlier on as I felt a bit chilly.
It's much more comfortable now (I feel the cold).

MooBaggage · 15/09/2022 21:43

Currently 18.5 here and the heating is set to come on at 18 (it used to be set for 21 but I'm determined to use the heating less this winter)... But I'm toasty warm thanks to my newly purchased Lakeland electric heated throw - as recommended by MN, obvs 😀

daisyjgrey · 15/09/2022 21:44

Heating on in September?!

boobot1 · 15/09/2022 21:44

22 no heating

TheMightyThor · 15/09/2022 21:45

22 downstairs, warmer upstairs, the bedrooms are still boiling every night and we're still sleeping with the windows open.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/09/2022 21:46

19.6°, no heating, NW coast. Windows have been open all day.
