It was inevitable but in this I feel very sorry for his siblings and daughters.

He shouldn’t have walked with them. He’s odious and a criminal.

I agree, the funeral is different but he shouldn't be out and about until then.

lemmein · 12/09/2022 18:16

Sharrowgirl · 12/09/2022 18:14

whilst all the actions including the payoff point to his guilt

You can’t take the fact that he settled as proof of his guilt. Everyone does but they really shouldn’t as it tells you nothing. You might say why did he settle if he was innocent but you could equally say why did she accept the settlement if he was guilty? So the settlement doesn’t indicate guilt or innocence.

Well we'll never know because he has been shielded from justice.

Boxofsockss · 12/09/2022 18:16

I don’t like him and think he has massively built a rod for his own back whether he is guilty or not but I don’t agree with the heckling. Number 1 because a man has lost his mom simple as that, obviously anyone who has lost a very close family member will understand - it’s an extremely upsetting time. Number 2 - it’s plain disrespectful to the Queen and also the new King who is trying to remain dignified during this very difficult time. Any other time, yes fine heckle all you want but not at this time / and this type of ‘event’.

Honestly, I find some of these posts really disturbing. No wonder the conviction rates for VAWG are so ridiculously low in this country.

17 may be over the age of consent but a trafficked person, whatever age, cannot consent. You are not considered an adult in this country until 18. Why would anyone minimise what he has been accused of? He's never been convicted because he was protected by the very establishment you have all doffed your caps to this week.

Let's not forget Jimmy Savile was a favourite of the Royals too - but keep on boot-licking 🙄

You don't seem to be able to separate the ability to both condemn VAWG and think it is inappropriate and disrespectful to the dead person and their grieving family to shout insults at a funeral procession. Andrew is despicable and I hope we do not see him again after this. But disagreeing with the man who shouted at him does not mean that I think VAWG is OK.

Completely agree.

PerfectlyPreservedQuagaarWarrior · 12/09/2022 18:16

The heckler is a hero. If I knew the people who assaulted him, I'd report them to HMRC and the DWP out of spite.

Novella4 · 12/09/2022 18:17

@Spck we have no idea who pulled him back . That crowd will be packed full of plain clothes

I wonder if the man who pushed Rory will also be charged

DogInATent · 12/09/2022 18:17

Andrew is creepy perv. He should have been reined in years ago for a variety of excesses and abuses of power/status, but he was his mum's favourite.

lemmein · 12/09/2022 18:17

I think it does 🤷🏻‍♀️

I hope not and hope he will see more of that.
He should never have been given that role. And if he had an ounce of decency, he would have refused the role and made himself small.

Obviously they all thought people had forgotten. And they could get away with it ‘because you should not be heckling someone at a funeral’.
Well sod that.

No, you should not be heckling someone at a funeral. I'd have thought that was basic decency and decorum, even towards someone who has shown none. Clearly some posters live in a world where it's ok and acceptable. Bizarre.

WillPowerLite · 12/09/2022 18:18

Now it's not ok to heckle that sick fecker? If Andrew wanted to make sure his daughters and siblings are not subjected to that sort of abuse, then he could choose to mourn in private. He should not be anywhere near a public event like this.

Laiste · 12/09/2022 18:19

Novella4 · 12/09/2022 18:05

It is a public event not a private family funeral

Andrew could have gone directly to the church and avoided this for all everyone

The young man who shouted was brave and right

Yep this.

Fucking sleezeball deserves a lot more heckling. He thought £££££ would shut everyone up and he could stick his head over the parapet? P'raps next time he'll keep a lower profile.

Novella4 · 12/09/2022 18:19

@Byebyebigbelly

This is a public event backed by the state

It is not a family funeral .

When do you suggest the time and place to publicly shout at Andrew is ?

They chose to parade him at this event though, and his mother should've thought of this before she gave him the money. There would be no issue at all with appropriateness had the public not had his presence imposed on the occasion. It's not like this is the funeral.

QuebecBagnet · 12/09/2022 18:20

Also the bonus of a clear go ahead to lock Andrew in a cupboard and say "you can't come out, remember that time in Scotland at mummy's funeral!

Ha, true!

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 12/09/2022 17:25

I think even odious sex offenders should be allowed to grieve their parents in peace.

He’s vile. But heckling him is worse.

Heckling is worse than sex offending?!?
are you serious?

Agadoodoododont · 12/09/2022 18:20

Well done to the young man for calling out that disgusting paedophile. If he’s fined I’m happy to pay it for him.
.

Fireleap · 12/09/2022 18:20

Good on that young man, Andrew didn't need to be there. Yes he has lost his mother but he can mourn in private. Our tolerance of him in any public situation brings shame on us all. I can't believe he was outside Balmoral, shaking hands.

vera99 · 12/09/2022 18:20

Just imagine it was your vulnerable 17-year-old daughter the was perving over and subsequently lying about never having known her. Hopefully, if the Royals know what's good for him he will never be seen officially in public again. Harry is well shut of the lot of them.

Flyinggeesei234 · 12/09/2022 18:21

Perfect28 · 12/09/2022 17:33

Hang on, let's just be clear. There is no planet in the universe where heckling is worse than paedophilia.

@Perfect28 where do you get the info from that he’s a paedophile? You can’t just accuse someone of that.

earsup · 12/09/2022 18:08

Am sure there will be more heckling to come....but where is the vile odious slime paul burrell....??....he is very quiet....must have made lots of money from his floristry business.....i bet he is flogging royal cards and tags for big money...!!

I'm sure he will.pop up sooner or later,,I'm surprised he's not been asked to give his opnion tbh .

lemmein · 12/09/2022 18:22

No, you should not be heckling someone at a funeral.

So if Ian Huntley was at his mummy's funeral would you condemn hecklers?

Zero fucking tolerance of men like this.

Laiste · 12/09/2022 18:22

Yes it was sad and awkward for the rest of the family there - but they were ok to walk alongside him in front of hundreds/thousands of people. It was inevitable someone would have a pop.

You lie down with dogs, you have to put up with fleas. As the saying goes.

PerfectlyPreservedQuagaarWarrior · 12/09/2022 18:23

It wasn't a funeral in any case, so the point is moot.

That’s not the same. Surely you can see this?!
