I'm having an extension built. My son sits for hours watching the builders work. He's absolutely fascinated.
But it looks like I've let him watch them for too long without intervention. He's started to talk like a middle-aged builder.
Over the weekend, my brother visited and asked DS how he was. DS replied "Can't complain, you know how it is"
Later, we were eating tea and DS asked if he could have a Radox bath to "soak his aching bones"
I've just been told that when one of the nursery staff greeted my son this morning, he replied with "Alright geezer" and has been calling other kids at the nursery "mate" all morning.
The builders only started on Monday. They're likely to be hear for another six weeks. By the time they've finished, I think my DS will be carrying a quote book, a pencil behind his ear and doing that sucking-in-air noise that builders do before they hit you with a giant problem.
Obviously NC for this because its very outing.
