Thank you for your service to our country, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ma'am.

Rest in peace.

Glenthebattleostrich · 08/09/2022 18:44

RIP, actually feel incredibly sad

Twospaniels · 08/09/2022 18:44

I think most of us thought this day would never come. RIP Queen Elizabeth II you performed your duties admirably

KosherDill · 08/09/2022 18:44

Very upsetting. Rationally we knew it had to come but I really didn't expect it this year.

Farewell.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 08/09/2022 18:44

End of an era.
RIP

TangoWhiskyAlphaTango · 08/09/2022 18:44

Very sad indeed RIP

WingBingo · 08/09/2022 18:44

Yes I feel the same. Unexpectedly sad.

Creepymanonagoatfarm · 08/09/2022 18:44

Things I have read made her sound quite a funny woman in private.
My asd dc had quite a fondness for her tbh.
She will be missed.

twilightcafe · 08/09/2022 18:44

I shed a tear and stood up for the National Anthem.

May she RIP.

Actually shocked at how upset this has made me.
RIP.

Me too. I wasn't expecting to be upset but I am. I think its all just too much given the nightmare of the last few years.

GaffNest · 08/09/2022 18:46

Numb.

Watching Mary Nightingale on ITV break the news with her voice breaking you knew it before she actually said it.

What an amazing Woman. On Tuesday she met the new Priminister and Thursday she dies.

I mean, that's a way to go out right. I don't think she ever got enough respect for what she did in an essentially man's world.

Eeksteek · 08/09/2022 18:46

They must have held the announcement, too, ecause it said she died this afternoon. I imagine that’s what ‘medical supervision’ meant. It seemed an odd phrase at the time.

Teddletime · 08/09/2022 18:46

God Bless Her. So many years of devoted service to the nation

RIP. She was a great stateswoman.

MintyGreenDreams · 08/09/2022 18:47

I'm in tears and wasn't expecting to be

Gymnopedie · 08/09/2022 18:47

I was one of the hard hearted ones who didn't cry when Diana died. But this has really upset me.

MWNA · 08/09/2022 18:47

Feel terribly sad about this. I really liked her.

the80sweregreat · 08/09/2022 18:47

It is actually so sad
I am amazed that I feel so down about it as I never met her
It feels like the end of an era.
Liz truss must feel strange , her last ever PM

Vecnasnurse · 08/09/2022 18:47

The Queen has been a constant in a rapidly changing world in recent years. Rest in peace Ma'am.

vera99 · 08/09/2022 18:47

I'm welling up despite being an ardent republican I can only explain it as a feeling for me that we all are mortal however great or important we may be in this imperfect world and we all leave it in the end. RIP your Maj.

nauticant · 08/09/2022 18:48

My feelings echo many of those above, even though I'm ambivalent about the Royal Family.

Well done Maj on getting to the Platinum Jubilee. It would have been a real shame to have got close to, but not reached, that point.

Obviouslynotallthere · 08/09/2022 18:48

I feel really upset but wasn't expecting to
