British soldiers and Police committed countless atrocities and war crimes in Ireland in the last fifty years, very much during her reign. Google Bloody Sunday, 1971 Newry Killings, Ballymurphy Massacre, Springhill Massacre, Guildford Four & Maguire Seven, Birmingham Six, and British collusion with Loyalist paramilitaries to name but a few in Ireland.
Once done reading those and educating yourself about your shameful history in Ireland why not educate yourself further on British war crimes throughout the rest of the world while she was sitting on the throne – The Mau Mau Uprising in Kenya, The Battle of Danny Boy in Iraq, genocidal massacres of Australian indigenous peoples throughout the 20th century, and the countless reports of torture and child murder in Afghanistan in the 2000s.
No person of sound mind could ever read these reports and for a minute think that their history of colonisation is something to be proud of. You mention German people and their feelings about their own history. The difference there, is that Germany took major steps in confronting their past and recognising their shameful history. To this day they educate their young about these events and worked to ensure it never happens again. The English refuse to recognise their evil doings and the scars inflicted on the rest of the world, all in living memory.
Elizabeth Windsor sat atop a cesspit of corruption, privilege and secrecy.
Perhaps save your tears for the working class old people who are going to be cold and hungry this winter after a lifetime of hard work and not some privileged old criminal who never did a days work in her life. If she is the symbol of Britain, Britain is rotten to the core.
