I'm going to a bug M&S foodhall tomorrow, for the first time in about a year.

Any recommendations?

Om my list already:

Count on Us chocolate mousse
Tuna fishcakes

Beyond that I need some suggestions!

TIA.

Chocolate Peanut Ice Cream cones. Unbelievably good!

Watch out not just for the advertised prices on the shelf but for what it actually comes up as on the tills when you scan. I've frequently had to ask for price corrections recently! You could argue it's only 10p here and there but it all adds up and has been often enough for me to do something about today (admittedly it was a pair of leggings that were £3 more when scanned through the till!)

Colin caterpillar cake - I get one at least once a month 😁

The tea cakes are nice too.

Salad is always fresh.

oh, ffs now you’ve got me wanting a trip to the food hall 🤭

Lookingformymarbles · 07/09/2022 14:31

Marmite & cheese pinwheels (yes, already been mentioned but need to reiterate just how yummy they are)

Marzipan chocolate bar

Tubs of mini rocky road, millionaires shortbread etc

Um, can't think of anything healthy off the top of my head!

ValBiro · 07/09/2022 14:32

Also... Still in the freezer aisle - the frozen croissants and pain au raisins in a bag are really nice and handy to keep in the freezer for a weekend treat. They had chocolate pastry twists the other day too which went down a storm when hosting a gaggle of teenage girls for DDs bday!

MenaiMna · 07/09/2022 14:32

Reduced fat crisps: 150g share bags ready salted or sour cream mmm

PyjamaFan · 07/09/2022 14:32

This is great!

So many suggestions for things I hadn't even considered.

I've added lots to my list. 🙂

Which biscuits would you recommend anyone? (Other than the ones already mentioned).

Not strictly a biscuit but the Jaffa cakes are really good - nicer than mcvities.

belgian chocolate shortcake fingers are really nice

shedwithivy · 07/09/2022 14:35

The chicken Katsu sushi tiger roll is lovely for a treaty lunch

BarbaraofSeville · 07/09/2022 14:38

The tortilla chips are really nice - a lime one and a chorizo and red pepper. If you're feeling brave, there's one made from blue corn, which don't taste any different just look a bit weird.

Is this a BIG M&S food hall you're going to? I've noticed they vary in size quite a bit and a lot of the bigger ones have a lot of extras like a lot more frozen food, a deli counter and wider bakery selection.

They're moving the (quite small and a bit shit) M&S into the old Debenhams in our local shopping centre and I'm quite excited because it's probably going to be massive so should have all the products they do and hopefully far better stock levels.

Their breaded chicken steaks (chilled section) are fantastic. We put them in the brioche buns for a chicken burger.

Their prosecco is my favourite - I won't drink any other!

pistachi0nuts · 07/09/2022 14:42

Chocolate rounds....best biscuits ever! The mini loaded millionaire shortbreads in a mini tub- delicious. Their lovely fresh salads and cucumbers and giant avocados. Those little Belgian chocolate flake covered truffles. The bakery white choc chip cookies.....

Oh and the pistachio cookies

wellhelloitsme · 07/09/2022 14:46

Whatever Aiden recommends...

DoDisDenDoDat · 07/09/2022 14:49

A bit boring, but also keep a couple of tins of their Lentil Daal soup in the cupboard. If a have a load of leftover veg from yesterdays dinner, I simply pour over a tin and heat through, while toasting some frozen pittas - very quick and tasty dinner

Favouritefruits · 07/09/2022 14:51

Count on us chocolate mousse is awful, Cadbury’s wispa mousse are less calories and much nicer.

Whendovescry03 · 07/09/2022 14:52

Cheese scones! Get em home and into the toaster and try not to eat all four in one sitting.

millerpie · 07/09/2022 14:53

Deli style coleslaw
chocolate milkshake
tea cakes

lickenchugget · 07/09/2022 14:53

Salted caramel chocolate truffles in the little black tube

Jonny234 · 07/09/2022 14:54

If they have the £12 deal gastropub deal try the Chicken Kiev's.
