I have a few but I'll just pick one. For me... the Friends background music everytime they change scenes. Particularly on a Saturday if I'm having a leisurely afternoon at home 🏡 and particularly the early epidodes when Monica was with Richard x 😊

When my dog is lying at my feet, and I feel his eyes on me and I look down and he’s gazing up at me and he does this wee happy doggy smile - my heart just melts

MintyGreenDreams · 05/09/2022 21:00

The sound of the Cork popping on the Cava

A glass of wine ?

A cold water swim somewhere lovely

When DH and I have gone to bed, and I've closed my eyes before he's turned off his bedside light - then he switches it off, and the extra, deeper layer of darkness falls over my eyes like a soft blanket. Makes me fall straight asleep.

Ohpaella · 05/09/2022 21:06

@WishawHoping That’s a lovely description. 😊

Something I noticed today. My 10 year old asked for a hug, so I gave her one but we were standing opposite a mirror and I caught a glimpse of her closing her eyes and snuggling in and it meant the world. She's a contrary bugger at the best of times. I guess she does still need me.

When I’m meditating in the lotus position and my dog climbs into my lap and settles down for a nap.

Ups the zen by miles.

@ShirleyJackson

Yoga dog! This is lovely

My 15 minutes of peace first thing in a morning. I sit outside no matter what the weather with my first cup of tea of the day. If I can manage a few extra minutes without having to rush afterwards it is even better.

Elerandooo · 05/09/2022 21:15

When my 14 month old son kisses me (even though he thinks sticking his tongue out to kiss is normal)

It makes a change from the constant biting, nipping and slapping. He could have me at my absolute breaking point and then one kiss and I melt away in sheer joy and love ☺️

BreathingDeep · 05/09/2022 21:16

These are all so gorgeous.

Mine would be:
the sound of a cork popping and fizz being poured
an unexpected, meaningful thank you
when a good book has a plot twist and suddenly turns into a great book
when DH and I catch each other’s eyes over the children and smile, silently saying ‘they’re ours and they’re bloody great aren’t they?’

cookiecreammmpie · 05/09/2022 21:21

orgasm, back and feet tickles, doggy snuggles.

Furrybutts · 05/09/2022 21:22

I love coming home from work to my lovely home, knowing that I have bought everything in it myself.
Since all my children have grown up and moved into homes of their own, it's my nice, tidy, quiet, happy place for just me. Smile

The glug of the first glass of red wine being poured from the bottle

When I catch a movement out of the corner of my eye at dusk, and my a fat healthy hedgehog waddles past the patio doors

Just before getting into bed I open the curtains and look at the stars for a few minutes. They're just so permanent if you know what I mean.

WinterCarlisle · 05/09/2022 21:32

Coming home from the school run / a day out and knowing that I don’t have to go out again. No cubs, football or beavers. Just a cosy evening at home and an early night.

I used to be an edgy goth. How times have changed!

NationMcKinley · 05/09/2022 21:33

HRT 😉

When my DS comes home from uni, nothing beats that first cuddle with my head tucked under his chin before he descends on the kitchen!

JustKeepLookingWithYourEyes · 05/09/2022 21:35

The music in the background of gogglebox is my happy time. It means it’s Friday, the kids are in bed, all chores are done and I probably have a glass of wine in my hand!
I also love when I feel my DC’s tiny hand in mine as we walk to the park, best feeling ever!

LokiDokiArtichoki · 05/09/2022 21:37

The weight of a sleeping baby in your arms while you watch tv or read a book.

My 5 yo DS is non verbal autistic, with very limited comprehension. Every night at bedtime he takes me by the hand to the back door so we can look for the moon and stars. It’s my favourite time of day. We have a projector for summer but nothing beats the look on his face when he spots the real thing
