Bath tub only the shower part

OP posts:
DramaAlpaca · 04/09/2022 23:44

Same here. We never use our bathtub, it's showers all round here.

MMMarmite · 04/09/2022 23:46

Burglar alarm. It's a rental. I don't know the code.

AnyFucker · 04/09/2022 23:48

Lounge. It’s freezing and not a comfortable place to chill out.

KensingtonStation · 04/09/2022 23:48

Hot tub? Mostly a slug breeding ground. It spends 95% of the time empty.

SpittinKitten · 04/09/2022 23:50

North facing balcony between the bath and the loo.

Pallisers · 04/09/2022 23:51

we never use the bathtub. Well I suppose dd1 does a few times a year. We renovated and I should have put a massive walk-in shower in that bathroom. The kids would have preferred it but I kept the tub for re-sale value.

everything else is used and loved all the time.

Rapidtango · 04/09/2022 23:52

Yes, burglar alarm - lived here 6 months, never used it. Baths - we have 2 and they've never been used. We didn't have a bath in our old house and everyone said it would be difficult to sell because everyone wants a bath. Nope.

Furries · 04/09/2022 23:56

Definitely the bath. It’s a lovely freestanding one that was here when I bought the house. I’ve definitely used it once, maybe twice - and I’ve been here over 10 years!

QueenOfHiraeth · 05/09/2022 00:03

Bath is rarely used here too
We also have a small covered verandah area that could be a lovely place to sit in the evening but DH keeps dumping all sorts of crap there so whenever I think it would be nice to sit there it is, at best, cluttered and, at worst, unusable.

gwenneh · 05/09/2022 00:04

DH's office.
He works from home but never from his office, it's too isolated from the rest of the house for him.

LBOCS2 · 05/09/2022 00:08

Terrible loft conversion. Was compliant in the 90s but now, apart from being very badly designed, has death trap stairs and feels like a fire death waiting to happen. It's used for storage only!

Kate0902900908 · 05/09/2022 00:16

Garage. Huge. Husband turned it into a gym. Yes he uses it everyday but come on the things it could be 😂 I could have started an empire by now 😭

LadyVictoriaSponge · 05/09/2022 00:17

My bathroom, it’s huge with a freestanding bath and double walk in shower, it’s a stunning room but I’ve never used it, it’s just easier to use my en suite, I really should force myself to use and enjoy it.

AnotherRoadsideAttraction · 05/09/2022 00:18

Freestanding bath used all the time at our home; spot that never gets used is the second balcony off the den!

basilmint · 05/09/2022 00:20

Garden rather than home but the huge bells and whistles greenhouse that is largely used to store Little Tikes toys. The original builder is no doubt turning in his grave.

IHearIt · 05/09/2022 00:21

Our beautiful garden that we no longer use because of the shitty neighbours

Love the fact that it’s the second balcony - I’d kill for just one!

You need to kick DH into touch. You’ll love sitting there in all weathers. Great on a hot day when you want some shade. Lovely on a rainy day to sit outside undercover.

Sauna or what was once a sauna. Now a cupboard

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 05/09/2022 00:32

I’ve just spent all weekend finally giving (what I suppose is) our house’s master bedroom a damn good bottoming! Me, ds and ddog moved in here nearly 3 years ago. I agreed to ds having the bigger bedroom when we moved in. I prefer the slightly smaller bedroom with a better view of the back garden. Ds (then 17) to promised to sort out his own room. I had enough to do so just left him to it…
Three years on. He moved out around 10 months ago. The room was on my to-do list last summer… I finally got round to doing it this weekend. Mainly spurred on by forthcoming winter and now more urgent need to have curtains I can close at night…
So. I now have a beautifully spic and span, larger than my own, very nice bedroom! I might want my mum and maybe ds to stay occasionally but apart from that it will not be used. I guess I will consider it the printer and the clothes horse’s room 😉

Unicorn2022 · 05/09/2022 00:33

Spare bedroom that never gets used except as a dumping ground because nobody has ever stayed overnight.

A waterproof TV in the bathroom (inherited from previous owners) which has only been used a handful of times.

A wine fridge - it looks nice in the kitchen but seems so wasteful nowadays to run a fridge just for wine, so is switched off.

Applebark · 05/09/2022 00:35

Outdoor toilet not accessible from the main house. Brand new installed before we moved in a year ago. We're in rented so it can't be changed. It's never been used as a toilet and it now stores all the gardening tools, pots and bags of compost.

Very jealous of all you with a bath who don't use it. We only have a shower and I so miss my lazy hot baths.

Crazyperi · 05/09/2022 00:36

Playroom. Always messy and unloved.

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 05/09/2022 00:42

Garden - never used, mainly due to next doors fence lying prone over it and their brambles growing through what’s left. Not pleasant to sit and look at.

SpaghettiSquash · 05/09/2022 00:52

Electric fire in living room. Lived here four years - used once.
