Has it rained yet where you are? And if yes, is it now cooler?
I am in Scotland Central Belt, no rain and still as hot as it was yesterday.

Liverpool and yes, it started to rain around 11am and has been on and off since. It's a lot cooler, currently 19° and was 32° this time yesterday. I almost jumped for joy when I seen the rain, now just waiting for a good storm ⛈

Cumbria. Heavy thunderstorms during the night and light showers all day today. Much cooler. It's glorious.

Yes and I'm in Majorca! It has cooled the air.

Hertfordshire. No rain. 29 degrees. Muggy.

I'm going to stick another load of washing out but I'd bloody love some rain.

I'm still awaiting the heavy rains that were forecast after the last heatwave.

I genuinely do not know how weather forecasters actually stay in a job. They wouldn't tell you what the weather has been like, five minutes after it happened!

Cardiff. Light rain most of the day and much cooler.

Had a bit of rain here in Chester, and it has dropped to 21 (was 32 yesterday). It said we would get a thunderstorm and the rain was quite heavy when I was doing the shopping, but it's stopped now!

Perthshire. Thunder and lightning and heavy rain all last night. It’s rained on and off today all day. It’s slightly cooler but still muggy.

No (SW London). About 5 degrees less unbearable but I wouldn't say comfortable yet.

The rain forecast for today disappeared off the forecast earlier today, due tomorrow afternoon now apparently (east, Essex/Herts way)

thankfully we’ve had clouds today which feels better overall and means I could open my blinds for the first time in days and let some actual daylight in! Still 28 though and doesn’t look to be getting particularly cool overnight either.

Norfolk. Ten spots of rain and then nothing.

Yorkshire: no rain yet but it’s clouded over and it’s a little cooler.

I’m on the English South Coast it hasn’t rained here yet. Slightly cooler today but not significantly and still very muggy. Can’t wait for the rain!

Isle of Wight. Sooo much cooler. No rain.

It’s rained in my bit of Greater Manchester but it is still warm and stuffy. Cooler than yesterday though. House is still boiling though, hoping it cools down this evening.

Exeter - thunder, absolute down pour at 3pm, has just stopped now at 4.45pm. Definitely feels cooler with a breeze which is much appreciated by this menopausal woman who was struggling with the heat 😓

West Mids - About 5 minutes of rain and then it was as if it had never happened!

No!! It was supposed to rain at 3pm but the clouds evaporated into a thin nothing! I even put the washing out in the vain hope it would hurry it along.

It's 31 here still and I've sweated all day and can't wait to get home and rip my bra off

North east Scotland and it’s rained since last night. I’ve had the door open all day, it’s not cold but definitely cooler.
