Has it rained yet where you are? And if yes, is it now cooler?
I am in Scotland Central Belt, no rain and still as hot as it was yesterday.

South coast no rain about 6 degrees cooler. Still over 25 though

Essex here. No rain yet and sun is in and out. Clouds do look grey though.

Looking at the rainfall radar again and the rain that was coming over from the West Country is fizzling out, probably not going to get into the SE today.

North West; had a short shower, at least 10 degrees cooler than recent days, just took Ddog for a walk and it was gloriously cool. It's overcast now, humid still but way more comfortable

North Essex/suffolk border - no rain. Definite breeze in the air and overcast. Still muggy though. According to my app we have drizzle due in an hr...not sure drizzle is going to cut it though!! Hoping for a big thunderstorm

Leicestershire. We had 12 raindrops two hours ago and then nothing. It's cooler than it has been though.

York. Not yet. Clouded over though. Am hopeful.....

Torrential rain and thunder yesterday evening and persistent / heavy in Edinburgh all day.

East Anglia - our rain is due tomorrow from 3pm. It is much cooler here today. Roll on.

I've got a massive headache so something is on the way... London still boiling though, no rain forecast until Wednesday!

Had a few spots of rain in this part of Somerset (close to the Wiltshire/BANES border), at around 11 am, but the sun's shining and it's warm now.

Central London, incredibly humid, about 29°, cloudy, and no rain. Met Office have rain forecast for 7/8 pm here (by which time I'll be at home).

Essex. Had a 20 minute shower, just fizzling out. Still humid though. Going to be 'tropical' AGAIN tonight. God, I am sick to death of this heat. Yearning for some cold air. Would literally pay £50 for a week of bright, cold, showery weather - just cold enough to see your breath.

It is breezy in the last hour though and though the breeze is warm, it does feel much better than the oppressiveness of unrelenting sun and zero breeze that we've had for past few weeks.

Lancashire coast, threw it down last night, thunder storm etc and drizzled all day today. About 10'c lower than yesterday

South Leicestershire and we've had a couple of short showers but its still horribly muggy - we aren't forecast any storms but have a Yellow warning just in case.

Hampshire. No rain. Very humid and no sign of rain yet.

huge sudden deluge yesterday (Inverness) burst the roof of a cinema and a supermarket and threatened to collapse them. Flash floods on roads.

Very near the South Coast of Ireland here. We have had a couple of sprinkles and load of thunder. I have put a load of washing in the line in hope that it will make it rain. I am really struggling with the heat and lack of sleep over the last few days
