Thanks @Chocolatetrifle and @squishymamma , thankfully little one seems to have turned a corner with the pox now, still covered in spots but not in so much agony. And now it’s her dad’s turn to take over!

Meals have definitely been easy here over the last few days, soup, pizza, lots of cheese sandwiches!

I like the idea of dampening ear plugs for every day life :)

Hi all,

@Stayingstrongish your poor DD and poor you, that sounds tough. Hope she’s feeling a little better now and you’re getting a tiny bit more breathing room/ less screaming!!

@Chocolatetrifle have you had chance to speak to the school about the headphones? Hope it was productive and they listened!

Hope you’ve enjoyed today off and got some nice outside time, and that things with your DH are going better @squishymamma

I’m bloody shattered, I wish I wish I wish DD would sleep better at night but oh well we are where we are. I’m really trying to focus on eating well and getting some downtime (not always possible when I’m working in fits and starts wherever I can either get childcare or after bedtime) plus going to bed reasonably early myself. Still feel like death warmed up though! We got her school nursery place through today though and got first choice so that’s good news, can’t believe it’s coming round so quick though.

@AliasGrape that's good news about the nursery place.
Yes, I told them not to even give him the option of headphones again because I don't want it becoming a habit for him. This is a child who has drum lessons so he can definitely get used to assemblies without headphones. I'm still annoyed with the teaching assistant.
