What are your barely related celebrity connections? Not the "I'm Bruce Springsteen's Sister " type but the much more loosely connected "Friend of my Uncle's milkman's brother" kind?

I once got first place on Chris Evans Top Tenuous (crap celebrity link radio phone in, if anyone remembers it) for Coronation Street with “my best friend’s best friend’s best friend is Katherine Kelly, but I have never met her.”

Not meeting her remains true but I have met the mutual best friend so that kind of counts, no?

I went to school with a long standing Emmerdale cast member and a Bond girl.

I was friends with Nick Kamen’s cousin, as a teenager.

MrsTimRiggins · 23/07/2022 14:31

Also! When I was at school, my design tech teacher’s wife was friends with fatboy slim’s wife (I forget her name now) and they drifted after teachers wife got the hump because old Norman and wifey nicked the name Woody for their son. To be fair, teachers woody was 10 months older.
I wonder if they posted on mumsnet at the time… ‘my close friends have called their son something a bit unusual (let’s say Rocky) but we love the name and want to use it for our son anyway. Would that be okay? AIBU?’

marcopront · 23/07/2022 14:32
