@BlodynGwyn @uncomfortablydumb53 thank you, I will tell her tomorrow that you said happy birthday, she will be so happy. 😊
So I was so desperate that I hopped down to the ground floor to try and find this doctor. When I got to the ground floor I was faintish and I was put into a wheelchair by security by the exit doors. I was then in so much pain I had a huge panic attack. They brought me back upstairs and the nurse lied and said she didn't let me leave. (Bearing in mind I'm so dizzy that it took me about 15 minutes to hop put of the ward) and she's saying she walked past me and refused me to go?
No one was helping me. I called 999 I was that scared that I couldn't breathe properly. They left me sat in the wheelchair for 1 hour and a half because I don't have the strength to walk to my room. Finally she wheeled me into my room but she refused to help me get on the bed. I tried to roll onto the bed from the chair and fell on my infected foot and was screaming in pain. She left me. I kept calling and she finally came back and asked what I wanted. I said can you help me please. She didn't help me. I had to hold on to the bed with my upper body and move my entire lower body with just my upper body.
This reads like some bad dream. I feel like someone is playing a practical joke and a TV crew will roll in any minute saying, "this was all just a joke."
Anyway the doctor finally came and said I need a line in to have my fluids and meds but it's now so late that no one will come so I'm to wait till the morning to get a PICC line????? Like what?!
Luckily I left my phone on voice recording so the whole thing is documented.
All they keep telling me is that they're busy and overworked. I get that. But I wouldn't even be here if they had listened to me on Saturday last week. They'd have one less patient to look after.
I'm going to contact PALS in the morning. This is my 6th day without my tablets (including anti depressants) so I'm also having withdrawal symptoms. Oh and to top it off I'm heavily bleeding (not a period)
Anyway I'm determined to get these meds in and get out tomorrow even if I have to leave late evening. If they put a line in in the morning I am determined to get out for my DC.
