What can you hear, right now?

We're in the garden with nice cold drinks.

We can hear the traffic and occasional sirens - we're on a main road and near all the emergency services.

Ds2 is wittering away, in the house.

Dishwasher draining behind me.

The local rook family is being very vocal.

And on either side, there are chattering, scratching and squeaky sounds. A bit like demadogs 😱

Same here! I am lying awake listening to the incessant ringing interspersed with traffic from having to have the windows open. Hateful!

Eeeeeee! I was right and it's right next to us! It was as surprised to see us as we were! Demahog!

That hedgehog is lovely. I just heard a snuffling noise outside so maybe we've got one..I couldn’t see anything. Then an owl made me jump as it was so loud outside the bedroom window!

The central air is running, it's freezing in here. When it cycles off, I can hear my tinnitus.

Sitting out on my second floor deck listening to the deafening sound of locusts. They're in fine form tonight

In bed, the window is open I can hear the sea. The cat is on the window sill cooling off I just heard him catch a buzzing fly. Now I hear him chomping. My DH just yawned.

In bed with the window open and I can hear a train, lots of seagulls and the extractor fan in the downstairs bathroom which has been left on for some reason.

Sirens, traffic, a woman talking very loudly on her phone at the bus stop. The joys of having your window open when you live on a main road.

Next door's chickens, clucking away, and birds chirping.

Fucking neighbour over the road is mowing his lawn

The girls chatting away before leaving for school. No-one's ever told them that 7am is not the best time for a full on chat 🙄

One of our lambs bawling her head off wanting her morning bottle.

I swear she is so loud she could wake the dead.

She doesn't even need it now but it's habit.

I like this thread.

I can hear the sheep and lambs on the hill at the other side of the fields. And the occasional bumble bee. A crow. A buzzard (one of my favourite sounds). A pheasant or similar.

Birds, distant traffic, a really annoying fly. I’m making the most of outside while it’s still cool enough to do so.

The trickle of a water feature in a corner of the garden. Much used by the birds, especially now, even though we have bird baths for them.
