What can you hear, right now?

We're in the garden with nice cold drinks.

We can hear the traffic and occasional sirens - we're on a main road and near all the emergency services.

Ds2 is wittering away, in the house.

Dishwasher draining behind me.

The local rook family is being very vocal.

And on either side, there are chattering, scratching and squeaky sounds. A bit like demadogs 😱

The sea. The curtains blowing. The wind outside.
Having listened to (and tended to!) my 8 month old, who’s spent the evening crying because he’s exhausted and far too hot, this is bliss.

The stream at the bottom of the field gurgling. At least there is still some water in it !

I live in city centre, at the back of a Chinese restaurant and car park....

deliveroo rider on the phone saying "hello deliveroo, can you come down please?"

A big extended family speaking Chinese and saying goodbyes

The restaurant chucking out their glass recycling into the street bin

Two boy racer car exhausts zooming around somewhere in the distance

... It doesn't sound like it, but it's actually super relaxing

I can hear the fan, my elderly dog grumbling, my sister snoring & a program about spitfire planes

I’m in the garden trying to cool off. There’s an owl, distant traffic and what sounded like a cat colliding with a shed. It’s just walked past me looking as though nothing happened, so I suspect I’m correct.

Rollercoasters, loud Jurassic Park music, screaming and lots of conversation!

Dh snoring like a train. His head has been on the pillow for less than 2 minutes - he's the quickest sleeper known to man!

DH snores like a feckin walrus so I have to use ear plugs which render me deaf to pretty much everything, so all I can hear is the constant ringing of my tinnitus.

My husband's gaming laptop - the fans are whirring so loudly it sounds as though it's about to take flight.

A dog barking in the distance.

Air con machine

A car driving in the distance, an occasional dog bark also in the distance and the clutter clatter of some bug crashing into my light.

It's basically lovely and quiet.

I live in an area where people are mostly considerate. I can't stand having to listen to other peoples awful music
