Mine is LARPing. It looks like so much fun. But I don’t think I could ever do it

I read this whole thread and couldn't find a thing I wanted to do. I do the fun stuff I want to do already, just never enough of it! (Sport, culture, travel, nights out).

The only one I slightly agreed with was be a police officer. I think I would have been a brilliant detective. Couldn't be bothered to go through the ranks dealing with drunks etc to get to the juicy bits though.

Early retirement. I'd like it sooner rather than later!

I've always thought (possibly stupidly) that being rescued from somewhere by the SAS would be quite fun. I day-dream about them swinging in the office windows on ropes to liberate me.

Larping looks great! Would love to do that and get into the whole community.

I would love to do skydiving, diving, surfing and all sorts of extreme sports but I have blood pressure problem and I can't do them 😑

@Firesidefox I have tried that with the police. It's hard in beginning of going through dealing with small crimes and drunks especially on a weekend, but now I'm finally getting into the detective area next month so it will be interesting 😀

I want to learn ballet, looks so fun my kids both attend so I can live through them! 😂 I’d like to try drugs but I don’t like being or feeling sick.

There’s a really steep hill at one of the castles near us, down to where the moat would have been and I always think it looks like it would be SO much fun to roll down. Definite risk of breaking a wrist or something though

Dancing - I can’t dance, I feel stupid. I dance with kids at work but take the kids away and replace them with adults and NO NO NO
Teaching - I’d love to be one but would have to do maths and English tests and I’m not sure I could be arsed with all the hassle

Amateur dramatics. As a child I was always too self conscious to get involved but now I think I'd have a real laugh. I've sort of looked in to it locally, but every group for adults seems to want loads of experience and expects everyone to audition to join. I'm looking for a more laid back approach - a chance to play 'hag number 3' and flounce about a bit.

A pp mentioned being on someone's shoulders at a festival. I always wanted to do this but as a taller woman, even when I was younger and lighter this was unlikely. I'm pretty sure I could persuade DH to give it a go but I'm now fairly heavy and he has a bad back so I suspect we'd both end up injured!

Investing on the stock market.
happy to study all I need to know, the conferences etc, but I need deep pockets to roll the dice, so to speak.

Soft play. I loved it as a child but it was a very rare treat. Not like the day to day activity it appears to be on here!

I've been in soft play centres and ran around with my grandkids - it was about 5 years ago when I was 58, and I'd lost 4st then 😁
