Mine is LARPing. It looks like so much fun. But I don’t think I could ever do it

Ice skating. Looks fun but I've absolutely hated it every time I've tried. It's freezing cold (duh!! 😂) hard when you fall over constantly, too many people going too fast, with terrifying blades on their feet ready to slice open any part of me. No, I do not like ice skating.

Drugs. I would love to try them just once to see what effect they would have on me because I have amazing tolerance when it comes to painkillers.

I wouldn’t do it though. Too much of a goody two shoes

I did the drugs thing in my teens, never anything hard, but dabbled in most of them.
I'd never touch them now, been there, done that, wasn't a fan.
I also utterly hate the smell of weed, someone was smoking it next to me recently and I had to move away as it made me feel nauseous.
I rarely even drink.

Colonic irrigation. Not fun as such but I thought it would make me feel sort of clean and light. Tried it once and it was absolutely dreadful, made me feel like I was about to have a panic attack/shit myself and I left feeling mildly traumatised.

I did banana boating once.

Hated every minute of it. The strap where I was sitting broke and I went flying. Refused to get back on it after that and rode in the boat instead. My dad (I was a teen at the time) was furious and thought I was playing it up. So he sat where I was sitting. I had never laughed so hard when that boat threw him off. He looked like a torpedo. He moved back to his original spot after that

My younger guys stay in my TV, or I go to their gigs.
In real life it's just too weird, and besides I'd realise how young they are and want to be making sure they were eating properly, and they'd be running screaming from the odd woman who was behaving like their mother!

Yes, I tried anal sex, no, it was not fun, it made me feel like I desperately needed a poo, painfully.

Besides I'm married so I don't think Mr dolobug would approve of me of galavanting with guys half his age, although he might appreciate the break!

Sailing - but I'm too lazy to learn. Watching my dh and our dc's sail their toppers brings me so much joy.

I too would love a bash at line dancing - I'd love to be from one of those hick towns in America where everyone congregates in the local dingy bar to dance to the country band and wear tight jeans and cowboy hats - and Ive always wanted a pair of red cowboy boots like Ariel in Footloose! I'm sure the reality is very different but it always looks fun in the movies.

I also wish I could do a beautiful swan dive off a boat too - I've never mastered that and am so jealous of people who can!

I'd like to paddle board, my SIL does a lot of it. Today I went on a banana boat for the first time at the age of 44 and 3/4! We were at a water park yesterday (we're on holiday somewhere hot) and I was persuaded by 8 year old DD to try all the scary rides, which was fun, although I'm a bit stiff today 😂

I'd like to drive one of those huge cranes at big ports that unloads containers from ships and carefully drops each one onto the exact position on the waiting train and lorry beneath.

Michael Portillo did it on one of his railway programs and it looked every bit as much fun as I imagined.

@crabbitmaw do try rugby! in my teams there have always been people over 40 and lots on the heavier side. it's very accessible and welcoming to all shapes and sizes
