Couldn't have happened to a nicer chap.

I laughed at him sacking Gove. It's so ridiculously petty at this stage of his government imploding and it's equally humiliating for them both. Win/win Grin

We should all have a phones near us, because at this rate, he will start to call us to offer cabinet positions

To quote Tucker “…because if she said no the only other choice was my left bollock with a fucking smiley face drawn on it”.

Back to what passes for reality this evening and fuck me, in the time it took to eat supper another three SPADs had gone. It’ll just be Johnson and the cat at this rate. Well, and Nadine because she knows no-one else will give her a chance to get near a lever of power so she’s clinging onto BoJo like a political life raft.

As for Boris sacking Gove, I’m sure the natural reaction to finding Gove in your employ is to want to sack him but it’s not like Johnson’s knee deep in other options, is it? Larry the Cat will be Foreign Secretary before dawn, you mark my words.

PyongyangKipperbang · 06/07/2022 22:35

Larry the Cat will make a fucking amazing cabinet minister. Personally I think he should be Chancellor, the fact that Whiskas is off the shelves at Tesco would soon be sorted, you mark my words!

Howappropriate · 06/07/2022 22:38

Johnson and Gove- two cheeks of the same arse.

CPL593H · 06/07/2022 22:39

My brain is now thoroughly fried because when the video of the chap making that repellent chicken and raspberry jam dish popped up, I thought for a second it was Nadhim Zahawi

PeppaPigIsBacon · 06/07/2022 22:41

Another one’s just resigned - Simon Hart

freesiafrenzy · 06/07/2022 22:41

GuyFawkesDay · 06/07/2022 21:37

I keep picturing Boris as Kenneth Williams's Caesar shrieking "infamy, infamy, they've all got in in for me!"

😂😂🙌🏻

Ryah76 · 06/07/2022 22:42

And just as Carrie finished her excellent job decorating No10!

toomuchlaundry · 06/07/2022 22:43

The cat is making another appearance!

SnottyLottie · 06/07/2022 22:44

Oh there goes another, Simon Hart, Secretary of State for Wales

😆

I've just seen that.

How many is that now?
I can't keep up

ParsleySageRosemary · 06/07/2022 22:44

Trump moment indeed, with faint reminders of the Rubicon. I read somewhere that important business tomorrow is being cancelled because of the lack of ministers to send to ministers.

I’d rather see a respectable Tory party than watch our government implode.

LovelyRaita · 06/07/2022 22:44

BBC news team hanging on in there desperately hoping Carrie will come steaming out of the front door with a wheelie suitcase like the third-to-last Apprentice candidate.

SnottyLottie · 06/07/2022 22:44

Just to clarify, Simon Hart has resigned, not been sacked!

freesiafrenzy · 06/07/2022 22:45

comfortablyfrumpy · 06/07/2022 21:47

You really couldn't make it up, could you.

I cant wait to see what Michael Spicer does with all of this. Grin

Yes!

Sharrowgirl · 06/07/2022 22:45

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/07/2022 21:56

Yes, another one went a minute or two after I posted that. Upset about Gove being sacked, I think. Shock

I never knew there were so many ministers. Skills minister….Equalities minister….Safeguarding minister

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a Biscuits minister or something.

toomuchlaundry · 06/07/2022 22:46

@Sharrowgirl there aren’t now!

PyongyangKipperbang · 06/07/2022 22:46

I am going for 10am tomorrow for the "I am not resigning" press conference and 11am on Friday for the "I am resigning" speech in the MN sweep stake.

toomuchlaundry · 06/07/2022 22:47

Boris is going to end up looking like Putin sitting alone at the cabinet table

I'm not sure that anyone wants to actually know, but I can explain "levelling up". What this means is that we throw some money at the poorest communities (but not an awful lot, mind) to fix them so that they will all get fabulous jobs, live in nice houses that they own, and retire early. This will mean that they will become more like the sort of people that the Ministers actually know - they will be "levelled up" to their betters. And I am honestly really not being sarcastic there - that is exactly what it is, the Minister is the idiot in charge of not achieving any of that.

Does that help?

I think you forgot the bit where the levelling up money doesn’t necessarily go to the poorest communities but the poorest communities with a Tory MP who is a mate.

It’s like the toddler refusing to leave the party having a meltdown and flinging his nappy around……

Any “legacy” he thought he had - he has blown it.

Laughing stock of the world and history.

He promoted sex pest / assaulter Pincher because that’s BJ same normal / acceptable day to day behaviour.

I likened him to a stroppy toddler before when talking to my husband.

Toddlerteaplease · 06/07/2022 22:18

My sister sent a screen shot of this. It's hilarious. Love that the BBC has retained its sense of humour.

The Beeb has lately been having to deal with the shitshow of Nadine being culture secretary. I don't think the Tories are flavour of the month with Auntie just now!

Summerwhereareyou · 06/07/2022 22:51

Larry the cat?

End up standing in for cabinet?

Being held on Boris arms whilst he strokes him??

FlosCampi · 06/07/2022 22:52

Larry the Cat is flaunting himself in anticipation of the Johnsons' dog's departure! Very smug.
