Martin kimber AT mrmkimber
The Telegraph report the whips’ office have crunched the numbers and worked out Boris Johnson would get just 65 confidence votes out of nearly 360 Tory MPs

Well that would certainly tie with the chief whip resigning.

Perhaps he's being very considerate and wants to avoid making her travel back from Balmoral.

No, me neither.

HMQ returned from holiday this afternoon and is now at Windsor by all accounts...

Fifi0102 · 06/07/2022 22:53

What a bunch of useless backstabbing twats, BJ needs to go. Our government is imploding, we need an election now

SnottyLottie · 06/07/2022 22:53

Edward Argar, health minister has resigned…

He hasn't got enough ministers left for a reshuffle!

Had to double take. Read it as mistresses first time

I don't want Boris to go. It is like WW2 when the allies ruled out an assassination attempt on Hitler because his terrible decisions where helping Germany lose the war. I hope he clings on and leads the Tories to a historic defeat. If he thinks he is being ousted then may be he will want to take them with him and call an election😂.

I'm hoping he'll call an election out of pique but then labour is tory lite again and is not supporting the unions (you know the working people who initially formed the labour party). It's all a muddle of centrist parties with not much to choose between them as they are all chasing power rather than trying to look after their electorate. I still think Caroline Lucas speaks the most sense.

I can’t keep up with all the threads. I do wonder what the Queen is making of it all though.

justasking111 · 06/07/2022 23:01

Well the Welsh secretary has resigned he was as useful as a chocolate teapot so won't be missed

EmmaH2022 · 06/07/2022 23:02

How did he get through the no confidence vote? Did something happen after that we don't know about, I wonder.

OMG12 · 06/07/2022 23:03

I just want to see the cat walking out of Downing Street with its belongings slung over its shoulder in a red and white hanki on a stick!

minou123 · 06/07/2022 21:28

Ah fuck. He was the "Levelling Up" minister.

I still don't know what "Levelling Up" is.
And now I'll never know.

I hardly know what any of them do. Or did. I suppose it's majorly past tense now.

I mean I knew their titles and what they should be doing, but did any one really know what they did?

Does anyone think he won’t leave because his wife spent so much decorating the flat that he thinks he ought to live in it. If that wallpaper stays so do I kind of thing?

OMG12 · 06/07/2022 23:07

Brilliant

That is a very fair point.

You would think the Education Minister would be about schools etc.
But the reality is, they are actually counting the ply in toilet rolls or something.

ParsleySageRosemary · 06/07/2022 23:10

I really don’t know what all the talk is about the Queen this that and the other is nowadays. She is old and not well, with preparations going ahead for succession. Plus the queen taking any action would force a crisis of its own. Maybe if someone much younger were on the throne they would take more risks, but the monarchy has been obsolete for a couple of centuries. It would be a risk to change that now.

A source close to the Palace has reported that the Queen is quite relishing the prospect of sacking him. She's never sacked a PM before. It's been on her Bucket List for a while now and she can't help thinking the jumped up little cunt had it coming after lying to her.😁

SidewaysOtter · 06/07/2022 23:10

I do wonder what the Queen is making of it all though.

I like to think of her with her feet up in front of the TV, fag in one hand and a stiff G&T in the other, Corgis on lap and cheering every time another resignation is announced.

Ncwinc · 06/07/2022 23:12

never knew there were so many ministers. Skills minister….Equalities minister….Safeguarding minister

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a Biscuits minister or something.

It’s like clowns getting out of a tiny car. Just when you think they must be done, the Secretary of State for Levelling Up pops out of the mini.

SnottyLottie · 06/07/2022 23:12

I wonder if Carrie is trying to salvage her designer wallpaper?

SidewaysOtter · 06/07/2022 23:13

Stick him in the Tower. Or, even better, the stocks. £5 and you can throw at him all the rotten vegetables you can get your hands on. National therapy and the financial crisis solved in one go.

RedToothBrush · 06/07/2022 23:13

Suella Braverman has just said live on tv she thinks the PM should go.

But she's not resigning herself over it. But she will stand for PM herself!

With 'allies' still giving their full support to Johnson like this, its actually quite funny.

Do you think he will sack her? I mean she's gone on tv and said that, so he can't exactly keep her can he?!

Does this source quite close to the Queen also dislike the pm and his Rwanda Policy?!

NoNoNoooo · 06/07/2022 23:15

I just wish he’d done it years ago before Gove got his hands on OUR education system 🙄
