I'm a nurse let him try to run the government with no staff and no breaks let's see how long he lasts.

Otherwise loving watching them all implode. They knew what a spineless lying xxxxxx he was but still defended his every misdemeanor. Suddenly finding their morals, what a joke. Watching him belligerently carry on despite everything let's us all see how he defended his position as a philandering spouse. No dignity, no integrity, no respect, a narcissist of the lowest order.

Gove ...the irony of being called a snake by boris .....hilarious.

Zahawi was always one I thought was ok but he blamed it all on Alastair Campbell this morning which was utterly bizarre

Zahawi is my local mp. Never once been on the campaign trail as far as I have seen. A sheep with a blue rosette would win the Tory vote here though.

He was caught claiming expenses for his wife's horse livery business' energy bills (or something similar) and was one of the misogynists attending the charity event that was staffed by women who were sexually harassed a few years back. So just your typical Tory sleeze merchant unfortunately

Johnny Mercer for PM!

No thanks.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 06/07/2022 22:09

I think Armando Iannucci needs to write a Death of Stalin type film on this farcical situation.

PyongyangKipperbang · 06/07/2022 22:10

Have the news channels got another ticker along with the resignations?

Resignations - 42
Tory MP's calling in sick tomorrow - 235

DFOD · 06/07/2022 22:10

It’s like the toddler refusing to leave the party having a meltdown and flinging his nappy around……

Any “legacy” he thought he had - he has blown it.

Laughing stock of the world and history.

He promoted sex pest / assaulter Pincher because that’s BJ same normal / acceptable day to day behaviour.

TheSpottedZebra · 06/07/2022 22:11

2 more. So is that 44 now?
Genuinely, I'm not quite sure who's been counted.

TheChosenTwo · 06/07/2022 22:11

I was reading about Alistair Campbell thinking ‘blimey what’s he got to do with all this? Surely he was last seen presenting Wheel of Fortune back in 1994!’
it’s been a really long day… anyway, made myself laugh. Not as much as watching this shitshow unfold though, you couldn’t make up this farce could you?

Oh he would absolutely tear this shit show to pieces!

Anyone else what HAGNFY to do a "BJ Shit Show Special"?!

TheSpottedZebra · 06/07/2022 22:12

Oh, so 43 excl Gove.

tearsforfears72 · 06/07/2022 22:12

Watching ITV news and the reporters are all drowned out by protestors screaming ‘Boris Out!’ in the background!

PyongyangKipperbang · 06/07/2022 22:13

And just realised that that title looks like a porn movie.....which sadly kind of fits given whats been going on!

Instantnoodles · 06/07/2022 22:13

Really enjoying this.

Theresa May must be breaking open the champagne.

MissWired · 06/07/2022 22:15

Will the last person left in the Tory party please turn off the lights?

What a grand farce all this is...

Dontjudgeme101 · 06/07/2022 22:15

Glittertwins · 06/07/2022 21:23

In a box??

I thought exactly the same as you.😂

PyongyangKipperbang · 06/07/2022 22:16

I havent had a notification from the BBC news app (dont have a TV) for ages so I am guessing that they are struggling to keep up! Probably get one in an hour or so "BREAKING NEWS - Its all fucked....go to bed, we will tell you tomorrow"

stillherenow · 06/07/2022 22:17

I don't want to stop watching but I'm going to have to sleep and hope to wake up to some marvellous news!!

PeppaPigIsBacon · 06/07/2022 22:18

Can the Queen technically sack BJ? I don’t mean overturn the result of the last election, but ask someone else in the party to form a government. Must be some provision to remove the PM if they aren’t fit to serve any more, surely?

Toddlerteaplease · 06/07/2022 22:18

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/07/2022 21:38

They've got a little ticker on the screen on BBC News showing the running total of resignations since yesterday. It's 41 now. I think it was 38 when we switched on. Grin

My sister sent a screen shot of this. It's hilarious. Love that the BBC has retained its sense of humour.

EssexSerpent · 06/07/2022 22:18

It’s an interesting hierarchy of what’s acceptable isn’t it - sex pest gets promoted and he’s willing to lie for him but someone who dares disagree is a ‘snake’ and fired?! Gove wasn’t fired for incompetence cos that’s just somewhere in the middle order and not a sackable offence. Punishment for that is you’re getting the next round in and everyone is on shot chasers.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 06/07/2022 22:19

Frankie Boyle says they're probably trying to lure him out of No 10 with a pair of used knickers on a fishing rod.

Gingernaut · 06/07/2022 22:21

There'll be people dragging him by his legs with someone prising his fingers off the door frames at this rate.

minou123 · 06/07/2022 22:24

@PyongyangKipperbang

"BREAKING NEWS - Its all fucked....go to bed, we will tell you tomorrow"

😁brilliant. I love this.

Anyfeckinusername · 06/07/2022 22:30

minou123 · 06/07/2022 21:45

We should all have a phones near us, because at this rate, he will start to call us to offer cabinet positions

😂

Please can someone explain what it means by 'levelling up minister' sorry if its a stupid question.

I'm not sure that anyone wants to actually know, but I can explain "levelling up". What this means is that we throw some money at the poorest communities (but not an awful lot, mind) to fix them so that they will all get fabulous jobs, live in nice houses that they own, and retire early. This will mean that they will become more like the sort of people that the Ministers actually know - they will be "levelled up" to their betters. And I am honestly really not being sarcastic there - that is exactly what it is, the Minister is the idiot in charge of not achieving any of that.

Does that help?
